I've got a mild hangover after Christmas drinks last night, DH has his works Christmas do tonight and I cannot wait just to snuggle on the sofa in my PJ's with a pizza once DS is in bed.

I want to watch an old familiar film which I've seen before, which I don't have to concentrate on and which will sooth my achy post hangover body.

What is your top re-watch film for situations like this? My brain is too frazzled to think!!

It's a Wonderful Life.
It's my favourite and I save it for Xmas Eve (I ban myself from watching it at other times as I don't want to sicken myself to it, and it makes my Xmas Eve extra special) Its such a lovely movie Smile

MorvaanReed · 06/12/2019 15:26

Local Hero, gentle story, lovely setting.

cunningartificer · 06/12/2019 15:26

Ten things I hate about you. The Knight’s Tale. Heath Ledger in both of them I’ve only just realised!

Groundhog day,
Santa Claus 1/2/3.
Any version of a Christmas Carol or Scrooged.

Gremlins.

Ponoka7 · 06/12/2019 15:44

Also, Lucy.

Ponoka7 · 06/12/2019 15:45

If I want a marathon, I watch Gone with the wind.

Ellybellyboo · 06/12/2019 15:47

The Holiday
Love Actually
The Notebook
You’ve Got Mail
Sleepless in Seattle

Particularly loving the cheesy Christmas films on one of the Sky channels at the moment too

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 06/12/2019 15:48

Billy Elliot

msmith501 · 06/12/2019 15:50

Shirley Valentine ... no contest. ".... I used to be the mother, I used to be the wife.. now I'm Shirley Valentine again"

.... " I er.. take you on brother's boat... fishing's fishing, fucking's fucking... I er not fuck with you Shir..er..ley Valentine...."

Best film ever... the ending where her husband Joe turns up fully suited and booted and walks right past Shirley because he doesn't recognise the new relaxed woman in front of him... the only film I watch and then book a holiday to a Greek Island
