What's your ultimate 'comforting hug' film?

I've got a mild hangover after Christmas drinks last night, DH has his works Christmas do tonight and I cannot wait just to snuggle on the sofa in my PJ's with a pizza once DS is in bed.

I want to watch an old familiar film which I've seen before, which I don't have to concentrate on and which will sooth my achy post hangover body.

What is your top re-watch film for situations like this? My brain is too frazzled to think!!

I love Billy Connolly.

Now, Voyager or The Old Maid with Bette Davis
Penny Serenade (Cary Grant and Irene Dunne, a crappy but reliable tear jerker)

I know that the racism in Gone with the Wind is dreadful but I do love Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh in it.

Love this thread; feeling rough today with a rotten cold, but feel warm and fuzzy inside thinking of being curled up with hot drink, a blanket, and a lovely comforting film.

The Great Garrick - a long forgotten 1937 Warner Brother romantic comedy starring Brian Aherne and Olivia DeHavilland, directed by James Whale. I taped it off Channel 4 sometime in the 80s and transferred the tape to DVD a while back before it wore out. I have never seen a commercial release of this film. It's my best Sunday Afternoon film of all time.
