Why so many threads criticising Corbyn and so few about Boris Johnson

ArseDarkly · 19/11/2019 14:50

If any??

There are SO many issues with Johnson - he is involved in at least 3 different potential scandals at the moment - the supressed Russia Dossier, the Jennifer Arcuri misconduct allegations and Vote Leave electoral fraud. His personal is marred with allegations of sleazy conduct and dishonesty. His working life outside parliament is a similar story of lies, conniving, incompetence.

Yet I don't see endless threads lambasting him - it just seems to be shrugged off with a 'well we all know what he's like'. Why is he getting such an easy ride on all this?

So, no answer from Dustydiamond to my question...there's a surprise Grin

Am at work - apologies for not following this thread in anticipation that you may DEMAND ANSWERS IMMEDIATELY!

🤷🏻‍♀️

ArseDarkly · 22/11/2019 14:57

So no link then? And you usually such an enthusiastic poster of memes and other crap!

OP posts:
ArseDarkly · 22/11/2019 15:01

Oh you're at work - on your other mn thread you mean?

In that case perhaps you should link some evidence before posting silly shit and running off? Just a handy hint Smile

Probably by 2025 both parties will have reverted back to the centre ground. If the Tories have any sense they’ll have dropped Johnson by the current bunch would be in serious trouble against a more moderate Labour led by, say, Starmer, or Andy Burnham or Yvette Cooper. In a sense the electorate is being forced to choose a government that’s either too far left or too far right. Partly owing to the Brexit chaos and people just “wanting it done” (if only it were that simple,,), I fully expect the Tories to win. I just pray they don’t inflict too much chaos on the nation before hopefully a return to sanity in 2025, but I fear the worst.

HaHaVeryBunny · 22/11/2019 15:16

Its strange isn't it. They have been in power for 10 years and have been

A party that has brought austerity to the UK, so people who work need to use food banks.

A party that is willing ready and able to privatise the NHS, one of the most admirable and decent health systems in the world.

A party that could not give a fuck for the middle, lower or any class.
It's people within the top 5% of wealth, not income (no matter where they got that from, be they corrupt bankers or Oligarchs) that they care about the most.

CendrillonSings · 22/11/2019 15:22

Cam77

Damn, you’ve actually written something with which I wholeheartedly agree - a return to sanity by both main parties would be very welcome. The bit that still puzzles me is why Labour leapt off the deep end first by electing Corbyn in 2015, when all that had happened was that they had lost a GE to a relatively moderate, pro-European leader like David Cameron. A normal pro-European Labour leader would probably have boosted Remain by a few points in 2016, so there might have been no Brexit debacle at all...

bellinisurge · 22/11/2019 15:42

@ArseDarkly , if @DustyDiamond wants to post on another thread rather than attending to your demands, that's up to them. I've crossed swords many a time with Dusty and you. Sometimes people aren't that bothered about keeping up with one's every demand.
I said one instead of you on purpose so you don't think that is particularly about YOU.

ArseDarkly · 22/11/2019 17:54

Have I crossed swords with you? Don't remember that Confused

Sometimes people aren't bothered but in the case of DD they basically haven't got an answer to the silly shit they've posted so they bugger off and then get all shrill about answers being 'demanded'. That's alright for the pub thread but it won't wash elsewhere.

OP posts:
ArseDarkly · 22/11/2019 18:07

Cam77 - bloody hell! You have achieved what we all thought was impossible - after weeks and weeks of Tory HQ shit-posting Cendrillon has actually put something rational - the Tories have lost their sanity and Brexit is a debacle. Shock

I can understand it though, there's only so much of that stupidity any sentient being can be made to post before their mind revolts.

OP posts:
CendrillonSings · 22/11/2019 18:15

Don’t get too excited, ArseDarkly - politics is still about choosing between available alternatives, and in that contest the marmite of Boris is going to beat the mustard gas of Corbyn any day of the week Smile

DustyDiamond · 22/11/2019 18:22

🙄

'Shrill'?!

Nope.

Just can't be arsed with your shite is all 🤷🏻‍♀️

ArseDarkly · 22/11/2019 18:31

Hey Cendrillon - is this a bit like that WW1 football match where we can have a few happy moments together before we start shooting each other again? Smile

OP posts:
CendrillonSings · 22/11/2019 19:37

Why not, though I am pretty rubbish at football. At least this war will definitely be over by Christmas!

ArseDarkly · 22/11/2019 20:18

We'll be equally rubbish then. Can't wait for this to be over one way or the other..still nearly 3 godforsaken weeks left!

Are you watching QT? Corbyn did pretty well I thought. Sturgeon was as usual. Swinson - oh dear! Shock Looking forward to Boris Grin

ArseDarkly · 22/11/2019 20:39

Your man looks terrible Cendrillon Shock

OP posts:
dirtyrottenscoundrel · 22/11/2019 20:41

When does Boris ever look great? Grin

noodlenosefraggle · 22/11/2019 20:44

I must admit, I thought Corbyn came a cross quite well too, despite my misgivings about him.

CendrillonSings · 22/11/2019 20:52

I think Boris is doing just fine with a tough audience. Swinson got it with both barrels, and no mistake.

ArseDarkly · 22/11/2019 20:55

God yeah, i didn't hear one positive comment to Swinson (I wouldn't be able to think of one either tbf)

OP posts:
Solihooley · 22/11/2019 20:57

Just fine? This is the first time I’ve actually seen the guy answer questions that are a little ‘tough’ and he’s coming across awfully. The teacher asked him how he’d address child poverty and he went off on a complete tangent about funding schools. The effects of child poverty have mapped out someone’s life chances long before school starts, makes sense to close half the sure start centres in the country. He’s not answered a single question!

MunaZaldrizoti · 22/11/2019 20:58

@CendrillonSings

Wow...so am I to take it that you don't believe there are any racism issues within the Conservative party then? Or...do you just believe that antisemitism is the only kind of racism that matters?

shalligoagain · 22/11/2019 22:20

Let's not forget....
"The Home Affairs Select Committee of Parliament held an inquiry into antisemitism in the UK and found "no reliable, empirical evidence to support the notion that there is a higher prevalence of antisemitic attitudes within the Labour Party than any other political party"

SeaWitchly · 22/11/2019 22:45

YANBU OP!

This country cannot afford another 4 years of Tory mismanagement and under-investment of public services. But some people just want to talk utter bollocks about Corbyn's wonky glasses, not bowing low enough at the cenotaph or pronouncing 'Epstein' as 'Epshtine' which is apparently meant to indicate anti-semetism Hmm
