And long may that continue to be your biggest problem Grin

spanglydangly · 13/11/2019 12:11

@eenymeenyminyme lighten up it did say "lighthearted" not everything has to be doom and gloom!

Would you like to hear all my problems? 🙄

Mrsjayy · 13/11/2019 12:13

My dh will eat his whole he is obviously a savage Grin

Elmo311 · 13/11/2019 12:14

Why do they need to be cut though? I do cut my sandwich, just not my toast! Haha

CalmFizz · 13/11/2019 12:15

Does toast need to be cut?

eenymeenyminyme · 13/11/2019 12:15

Alright, keep your hair on, I thought the Grin in my reply indicated I was being equally lighthearted, didn't realise I had to spell it out...

spanglydangly · 13/11/2019 12:16

Oh they both need to be cut, the nest but about toast is still having another half to eat! Grin

Mrsjayy · 13/11/2019 12:16

Well I sometimes have a toasted sandwich sooo

spanglydangly · 13/11/2019 12:16

*best bit!

steppemum · 13/11/2019 12:16

well, cutting it in half is one thing, but they must cut it into triangles if it is a toastie.

And anyone cutting it longways and not across th emiddle is just WEIRD (looking at you dh)

PrincessSarene · 13/11/2019 12:17

I cut my sandwiches in half but not my toast (it squishes the bread if you do that and I like it to stay at maximum springiness for me to bite into!). My DH consistently will bring me toast cut in half and sandwiches left whole. We’ve been married over 10 years so he should this is so wrong. Should I LTB????

ILiveInSalemsLot · 13/11/2019 12:17

I agree op but people who cut burgers in half drive me mad too.

00100001 · 13/11/2019 12:18

my DS FOLDS his toast Shock

billandbenflowerpotmen1 · 13/11/2019 12:18

It's just not right to eat a whole piece of bread or toast without cutting in half

Areyoufree · 13/11/2019 12:19

I shall never invite you to lunch. I have been known to not even bother to even spread toppings out, as they all get mixed together when you eat. Drives my kids crazy. Cutting sandwiches / toast in half would be an unheard of luxury for them!

LEELULUMPKIN · 13/11/2019 12:19

It HAS to be triangles too!

Reminds me of the brilliant "New Sofa" christmas episode of The Royle Family where Denise is getting stressed because she hasn't got enough triangles, then dozy Dave gets it in the neck :)

OlaEliza · 13/11/2019 12:19

I like not cutting my toast. I eat the crusts then take big bites of the middle.

thatguiltyfeeling · 13/11/2019 12:20

@steppemum your DH sounds shocking if he cuts long ways 😱
My DP doesn't cut sandwiches every time and it bothers me so much watching him struggling to contain the filling and eat it at the same time 🤦‍♀️
I don't disagree about cutting toast but there's rules regarding it: if it's just butter on top then leave it as a whole, if there's any other kind of topping cut in half is best but through the middle widthways, if it's a toastie always cut in half diagonally!

youngestisapsycho · 13/11/2019 12:20

You have to cut a burger in half so that you have a 'corner' to put in your mouth... it's less messy!

InOtterNews · 13/11/2019 12:21

They must also be cut on the diagonal

Bezalelle · 13/11/2019 12:23

Uncut sandwiches make me nervous. More chance of the filling flopping out.

spanglydangly · 13/11/2019 12:24

@PrincessSarene I agree you should LTB!

Now those not cutting toast or sandwiches, do you remember the breville sandwich makers? The ones that made the filling volcanically hot? Didn't they used to cut the sandwiches in half for you?

How is that dealt with?

OP posts:
steppemum · 13/11/2019 12:28

burgers cut in half

my dh has been known to fold as well.

Actually I have just realised that I sometimes eat hot toast uncut!

VardySheWrote · 13/11/2019 12:28

Are we supposed to cut them in half? I've never done it.

MikeUniformMike · 13/11/2019 12:29

I prefer it cut too.

People that who don't ...
