I know I have been glutinous but hear me out. I did a online shop, had it delivered today and got a 6 pack of Skips crisps for free. I have not had Skips crisps in many many years and was delighted to receive them. On a scale of 1 to 10 how terrible am I, to have ate all 6!?!!! It helps I was watching tv...! They really did melt in my mouth and tasted the same as I remember them.

Jelly tots 😄 I used to live tomato snaps but they are not the same . In tbe 70s and 80s they melted in the mouth with a lovely tomato powder coating them Now they are hard cresent shape crisps that hurt your teeth.

blue odd that,eh? Must say when I saw op’s photo I thought ‘shame they are milk chocolate I’m not sure il like them’ then immediately ‘that’s right there are so few of them in the packet I may need a couple’. I am absurdly looking forward to the hit of mint. Grin

I still have the same choices of breakfast cereal.

I had macaroni cheese for the first time as an adult on Thursday, and won't be doing so again.

@ThousandCows so sorry for the delay, alf the house has been down with pneumonia Envy I hope you enjoy it!

Pulla:
Scald 3/4 cup of whole milk
Pour into a large bowl, add 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 cup butter and 1 tsp cardamom.
Stir until butter melts and cool to lukewarm
Stir in 2 well beaten eggs.

Meanwhile, dissolve 1 teaspoon sugar in 1/2 cup warm water, over this sprinkle 1 envelope of active dry yeast
Let stand 10 minutes, and then add it to the lukewarm milk mix.
Beat in 2 cups all purpose flour
When fully incorporated, add another 3 1/2 cups of flour.

Work in last of flooring the bowl, and then turn out onto a floured surface, and knead for 10 minutes.
Shape into a smooth ball, pop into a greased bowl and set to rise in a warm spot until it has doubled. Punch down and divide into 3 balls.
Divide each ball into three 15 inch rolls, and braid together.
Place braided leaves on greased baking sheet, cover and let rise until doubled again.
Bake at 375 F for 30 minutes
As soon as the bread comes out of the oven, while still hot, brush with a glaze of 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon hot coffee
After glazing loaf, sprinkle the top with granulated sugar .

Serve with hot coffee
After a few days, makes brilliant toast

@NorthEndGal thank you! I will give it a whirl this weekend. None of the recipes I've tried have risen enough, but I've always used fresh yeast... Maybe dried is the way forward?!

@SecretNutellaFix I came to say Hamwiches too!! I doubt they have any nutritional value and look pretty awful but taste sooooo good 😋
