My little dog often refuses to get up on to the sofa unless I lift him with my legs. He will stand on my feet and wait for me to elevate my legs and then use them as a plank to walk on to the sofa, somehow it started when he was a tiny puppy and he's got into the habit of doing it constantly now.

It's a small thing that I love, he also squeezes himself under the sofa and will pop out the bottom when I hoover. Although he's struggling to do this since he's a little chunkier now Grin

Every time I lie down, be it on the sofa, bed or floor, my cat comes and flings himself down too, right up close to me. He stays like that for as long as I do, usually all night!

StealthPolarBear · 26/09/2019 22:00

I love that!

madcatladyforever · 26/09/2019 22:00

Awww that's cute. My cat puts her paw gently on my arm and looks lovingly into my eyes.

Babyroobs · 26/09/2019 22:00

My spaniel Miles howls along when I sing, I love him so much.

Mylittlerainbow · 26/09/2019 22:01

My dog will sit next to me and then flop his head on my leg so abruptly for about 4 or 5 seconds and it’s like he’s giving me a cuddle

YesItsMeIDontCare · 26/09/2019 22:03

My cat will only cuddle with me. Nobody else. No way. Uh-uh. Not happenin'.

I may be little bit smug about it but I do love that he loves his mummy 🥰

RippleEffects · 26/09/2019 22:04

My little cavalier king Charles loves each of the family with complete and total devotion, until she's in the room with another member of the family and then she loves them with complete devotion. We are all led to feel very special. She's very diplomatic when the DC play the dog loves me more, she lies down and rolls on her back.

IndigoHexagon · 26/09/2019 22:06

My two (cats) each have their own quirks - obi always has to have the last word, he doesn’t meow, he chirrups (he’s a Bengal and they have a funny little call that sounds like he’s asking a question) but if I reply, he’ll keep answering back every time!
Leela is the most affectionate cat I’ve ever known, she’s so loving. She also likes to follow me if I go on walks - so does Obi, but Leela has accompanied me on a 5km before now - must to the amusement of everyone who passed us!

crazypeppermint · 26/09/2019 22:06

@RippleEffects Love King Charles spaniels! Such loving dogsSmile

My bengal cat always meows Hello when he comes in from outside. It's a specific meow, unlike his other meows. I always say Hello back.

Browniee · 26/09/2019 22:09

If I put my hand on my dogs paw, she then puts her paw on top of my hand. Her paw always needs to be on top. Like a weird silent game of 1 potato 2 potato 3 potato 4.
She also places her head underneath our hands and moves her heads back and forth so she’s getting stroked. Like “if you’re not going to stroke me I’ll take matters into my own hands!” 😂

VondaVomin · 26/09/2019 22:11

One of my dogs sleeps separately from the others (he likes a crate) so he spends the evening on the sofa with me first. Every time he snuggles next to to me then wriggles and squirms until he is fully pressed against me. Feels like he is giving me a cuddle - very sweet.

JustBex · 26/09/2019 22:12

Every morning I get woken up by my puppy sitting on my chest with his head on my chin, just staring up at me and then as soon as I open my eyes he'll start giving me little kisses

stayathomegardener · 26/09/2019 22:12

Darling dog knocks my phone out of my hand until I stop texting and stroke him.

missyB1 · 26/09/2019 22:13

My dogs excited noise - a sort of “woo woo woo” sound Grin

madamedesevigne · 26/09/2019 22:14

My cat only has one fang and sometimes his top lip gets caught on it and he looks like Elvis.

SingingMyOwnSpecialSong · 26/09/2019 22:14

My old cat, who died in February, would stretch right out along me when I was laying on the sofa watching TV or reading and get so relaxed he would have dreams, twitching and making little meows. We often used to spend Sunday afternoons that way when I was young and single. I really miss him.

New cat is like a slinky toy, gets so happy and rolls around so much when he comes for cuddles that he slides off my lap.

The dog loves to hide under blankets with just his nose sticking out.

malificent7 · 26/09/2019 22:17

My tortoise yawns in slow motion....he's just adorable! And he comes out when he hears my voice!

TheWashingMachine · 26/09/2019 22:17

My cat always likes to sit on something soft snd freshlu laundered, this evening I set the table and she hopped up and sat very delicately on a triangular folded napkin that was resting on a side plate.

malificent7 · 26/09/2019 22:18

I cannot be the only one with a tortoise!! My cat is lovely too and sits on us in bed.

My Dcat won't play on her own She'll come pat your leg with a little tiny murmur type miaow til you find/chuck pick up her feathered 'mousey' again (she chases & 'kills' him then shoves him under the sofa or bureau 20 times an hour...).

VeryQuaintIrene · 26/09/2019 22:22

malificent7 when I was a child I had tortoises (now long gone) but when I'd been away and came back, they would rush (as best they could) out to see me and squeak at me. I adored them.

Grambler · 26/09/2019 22:23

Cat1 is excessively stupid and yet comes equipped with a very high opinion of himself. He announces his arrival back through the cat flap expecting huge rounds of applause. Once a mouse ran past him and even now he sits in the same place hoping it'll happen again. He loves being wrapped in a blanket and being cuddled upsidedown like a baby.

Cat2 detests me, which I grudgingly admire her for. I feed her only the food she likes, I've placed cat beds in every place she's ever slept, I've rescued her repeatedly from the dog next door and the cat out the back - yet she flinches if I as much as look at her. If she could roll her eyes and mutter about how needy and approval-seeking I am, she would Grin

TreacherousPissFlap · 26/09/2019 22:26

DDog3 sits down so ridiculously it always makes me laugh.
It's really hard to explain but she seems to leave her front paws where they are and sort of swing her back end into position Grin
