Do you shave every day?? My legs are hairy, my armpits are hairy, my hands are hairy. Not lots, but enough to make me feel conscious. I’m busy with a housemove so no time to wax. I’m so fed up! Eyebrows need attention too. I get them threaded, but can’t go for atleast 2 weeks.

How do people manage to look so presentable all the time???

I'm blond so you can't really see any regrowth but even so I'd like to get rid of it.
I went off to enquire about laser and was turned down as it only works on dark hair apparently so maybe you could start with say armpits and see how it goes. I don't know how much it costs but it does work.

statetrooperstacey · 09/08/2019 18:57

A Mach 3, keep on top of it then it doesn’t take long in the shower. Never had a problem with I growing hairs since I’ve used a Mach 3 either. Smooth every day.

Venger · 09/08/2019 18:59

My eyebrows grow nice and neatly so don't need to do anything with them and I don't grow armpit hair for some reason but for my legs I get them waxed every four weeks or five weeks.

DeadFlea · 09/08/2019 18:59

Years ago when I was married I had the whole lot lasered. Job done. Nothing to ever worry about ever again.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 09/08/2019 19:03

The Philips Lumea. It costs a lot but when you factor in the cost of a lifetime of waxing/shaving/threading etc it's pretty good.

Mishappening · 09/08/2019 19:04

Body hair - I leave it be.

lanbro · 09/08/2019 19:05

Ditto the Philip's Lumea, changed my life but I'm very dark and hairy so the ideal candidate for it to work!

blueluce85 · 09/08/2019 19:06

Again, another one for the lumea... 3 treatments in and so far its amazing!

WoodLog · 09/08/2019 19:06

Lumea. Honestly I don't know how I managed without it.

tealandteal · 09/08/2019 19:08

Lumea here also! Going about 12 weeks between waxes now and could push it longer.

seven201 · 09/08/2019 19:09

The lumea isn't permanent though or is it?

Heartburn888 · 09/08/2019 19:10

I consider myself quite hairy for a female, invest in a wax pot and some soft wax (would recommend the tea tree stuff you can get at wholesalers) and some wax strips off amazon. It will be the best thing you did!

I do my own eyebrows although I’m not qualified and have made a few mistakes - but practise makes perfect huh?

Zebraaa · 09/08/2019 19:11

Thanks for the recommendations on the Lumea. I was debating whether to buy one!

Jebuschristchocolatebar · 09/08/2019 19:12

Got a course of laser hair removal and never looked back

Badmgr · 09/08/2019 19:14

Echo pp’s - lumea - worth every penny and more

Coulddowithanap · 09/08/2019 19:14

The lumea sounds great, just wish it wasn't so expensive.

wiltingflower · 09/08/2019 19:15

I'm a fairly hairy person and have very dark thick body hair. Waxing, sugaring and hair removal cream don't work for me.

I use an eyebrow razor and tweezers for when I don't have time to do my eyebrows properly but really need a quick tidy/hide regrowth before going out.

When short on time, I shave legs whenever I know I'm wearing an outfit that shows them. When I have more time, I epilate my legs and armpits.

I don't shave my arms/ remove the hair there. I use Jolen bleach instead for special occasions (have to apply quite a few times in the run up to the event for any noticeable difference) otherwise I leave it alone.

Pipandmum · 09/08/2019 19:16

Don’t bother with legs (not very hairy plus don’t expose them). Do underarms about once every two or three weeks. Eyebrows waxed by beautician once a month.

Waveysnail · 09/08/2019 19:16

Wax legs or use epilator. Shave pits. Used to get brows threaded but have been using disposable eyebrow shavers I picked up in Tesco's during weekly shop - they are awesome and takes seconds.

notangelinajolie · 09/08/2019 19:19

It depends how much hair you've got. I'm not very hairy and that includes my head sadly :-( My legs get shaved for Christmas, holidays and whenever I wear a dress (practically never) and underarms the same.

DD is the opposite and even has to shave her chin. She is saving up for a Phillips Lumea.

ghostyslovesheets · 09/08/2019 19:20

Mach three here as well - currently on holiday so shaving everyday

LakieLady · 09/08/2019 19:21

Another vote for the Lumea. My legs are virtually hair free after a couple of years and my armpits have about 3 hairs left.

PivotPivotPivottt · 09/08/2019 19:22

Thick black hair here. I shave my arm pits every couple of days, regrowth after a day. I shaved my arm pits and legs last night and already have hair a couple of mm. Also I was an idiot teenager who decided to start shaving my arms so I have to do that once a week too, I hate my teenage selfAngry. I've tried to let it grow but it comes in a thick dark stubble and makes me itchy and looks terrible Sad

bluebluezoo · 09/08/2019 19:23

How do people manage to look so presentable all the time???

Depends on how you define presentable.

I think women are perfectly presentable whether they choose to remove body hair or not.

PivotPivotPivottt · 09/08/2019 19:24

Once or twice a week that should say for arms
