Anyone think of anything he could be doing worse?

I quite like him despite his awful failings.

This is usually the kiss of death for any politician so take heart! He will likely be booted out soon.

recrudescence · 25/07/2019 10:37

I quite like him despite his awful failings.

Really? Why?

mummmy2017 · 25/07/2019 10:40

How do you know he won't change his mind about anything he says...
Students.. . i didn't mean that .

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 25/07/2019 10:41

Anyone think of anything he could be doing worse?
Pictured kicking a puppy? Stealing an ice cream from a baby? Eating foie gras and quaffing Cristal with Len McCluskey in The Ivy? Other than those, I got nothing. Smile

I have despised his political alliances for years but seem to have now fulminated that out of my system.

I think his heart is in the right place. Sadly everything else is wired badly.

sionnachbeag · 25/07/2019 10:45

What do you expect him to have done in the last 24 hours ?

Mummy2017, Corbyn never removed the pledge to scrap frees. Making things up now are we?

Oh and the fees? Cost about the same as Boris Johnson's tax plans.

BlueSkiesLies · 25/07/2019 10:45

He will go down as the worst opposition leader in the time of the most awful government in history

If labour get rid, I’ll vote for them. Until then it’s got to be Lib Dem.

daffodilbrain · 25/07/2019 10:47

He is the worst opposition "leader" in history. He has failed the country and been remiss in his responsibilities. How on earth is he going to be able to lead a country?

Cinammoncake · 25/07/2019 10:48

What do you expect him to have done in the last 24 hours ?

Been on the news vocalising his opposition to what's happening?
Proposed a vote of no confidence?

Those took me about 2 seconds to think up. WTF is the man doing. I wonder if he's just having a lie in or something.

He was a disgrace in PMQ's yesterday, used to be a Labour voter but now actually looking forward to seeing BJ wipe the floor with him.

sionnachbeag · 25/07/2019 10:57

BJ won't wipe the floor with anyone, only does well when he's unchallenged.

Labour are leading a rally tonight to call for GE.

longwayoff · 25/07/2019 11:02

Well, he could have many affairs and a sprinkle of out-of-marriage children, both acknowledged and unacknowledged, then leave his wife to set up home with a woman half his age, be overheard having a fight with her, bluster his way through a leadership campaign, gagging as he goes . . . No politician could recover from such things.

Viciousrooster · 25/07/2019 11:02

That's the point. With Corbyn as leader of the opposition, he is basically operating unchallenged.

longwayoff · 25/07/2019 11:03

Blood y auto correct. Faffing. Not gagging.

Eaudear · 25/07/2019 11:03

I don't get how Corbyn and Labour can be so utterly crap in the face of what is happening? How is it even possible?!

recrudescence · 25/07/2019 11:07

I think his heart is in the right place.

I don’t even believe that. Despite voting Labour in every GE and LE since being able to vote, I’m not sure if I ever can again. Even when Corbyn is replaced, the party will have changed in a way that I just can’t stomach.

InTheHeatofLisbon · 25/07/2019 11:08

The lack of adequate opposition in parliament is a really worrying, quite frightening concept.

I think Labour has drifted so far from what it once was, that it's lost its way completely.

Which is a terrible shame because now more than ever there needs to be a realistic, capable and ready opposition to take power after a GE.

Sadly I don't believe Corbyn would win a GE which leaves us with Johnson and his cronies.

SummerSeasoning · 25/07/2019 11:08

I am possibly naive.

marvellousnightforamooncup · 25/07/2019 11:09

I'm hoping for a general election, then I remember Corbyn is still in charge of the opposition. Sometimes I think he might be a cunning Tory plant.

I've always been a Labour voter and I gave him a chance, made excuses for him only to be let down again and again. He's just never there when you need someone to challenge the government.

JustMe81 · 25/07/2019 11:12

I feel like he’s just given up. Unless he’s working away in the background on some master plan to help us out of this mess I can’t see what he’s actually doing.

leckford · 25/07/2019 11:12

I have met people where I live who admitted to joining Labour under the £3 scheme just to vote for Corbyn to keep Labour out of power.

sionnachbeag · 25/07/2019 11:12

Its interesting how the anti corbyn threads spring up now the hard right are in power.

cheezy · 25/07/2019 11:12

I’m always surprised when the Tories speak about how ‘dangerous’ labour and Corbyn are and how they must be prevented from coming to power. Corbyn seems as dangerous as a puddle to me and completely incapable of any rise to power.
There must be some up and coming new talent waiting in the wings surely?!
