To feel sorry for Meghan Markle - she looked lonely holding baby Archie at the Polo game

Did anyone else think Meghan Markle looked sad and lonely while holding baby Archie at Harry's polo game yesterday? There she was in the sunshine with her new baby while approx 2 metres away was her sister in law Kate completely wrapped up in her own children looking smug and not even glancing in poor Meghan's direction. There were loads of pictures taken and not one showed her chatting to Meghan or even looking at her, complete zero effort. The only ones who seemed to interact with Meghan and Archie were 1 year old Prince Louis and Harry when he finished the game! Kate is obviously not as sweet or friendly as she'd like the public to believe. Meghan gets so much criticism but she comes across as more down to earth and genuine.

Serves the self centred woman right

Cool, how do you know Meghan then? Worked with her? Friends with her?

I am not a fan but the Daily Mail is fuelling this utter hatred for her the last few days since the Wimbledon debacle.

She can do nothing right at the moment (because they have pissed off the press and they would never go for Harry, so portray him as a victim) but doesn’t seem to be taking advice from anyone.

Did she really know what she was marrying into?

I feel sorry for her because while I am sure she is far from perfect like the rest of us I am also confident she isn’t the evil narcissist she is being portrayed to be, and she’s just had a baby so she must feel a bit vulnerable.

CallaLilli · 11/07/2019 18:59

She is alienating people by using the public when it suits her to get money, but not giving back to them

I'm not sure I understand comments like this. Before she went on maternity leave didn't Meghan do pretty much what Kate did when it came to royal "work"? What else do people expect?

beckywiththecraphair · 11/07/2019 19:05

No, I don't feel sorry for a woman I don't know and her sister in law who I also don't know and I know nothing about their actual real relationship or how they interact and the paparazzi are the dregs of society so no, no I don't feel sorry for a stranger based on a couple of photos taken by scumbags

minou123 · 11/07/2019 19:05

I'm not a mum, never had a baby. But I thought mothers supported other mothers? Maybe I'm too naive, but I thought that all mums, regardless of social status, money, race, public profile, backed each other and even if they wouldn't do it themselves they supported the other mother's choice?

I would understand the vitriol if Meghan was swinging Archie around by his leg, but she wasn't Confused

Maybe I'm being out of line here, but which of you were the perfect parent when you had your 1st child?

AngeloMysterioso · 11/07/2019 19:07

I’ll save my sympathy for people with actual problems... The Duchess of Sussex being a bit bored at the polo is not one of those people.

colourlessgreenidea · 11/07/2019 19:10

I clicked on this thread against my better judgement, but I’m so glad I did!

Priceless. Utterly priceless! 😂😂😂😂😂

Grin What on Earth has made you think that? Mothers are just people. Being a woman who has had a child doesn't turn you into some kind of saint.

beckywiththecraphair · 11/07/2019 19:11

Some do. Others are the judgiest fuckers this side of Judy Sheindlin's desk.

Thump · 11/07/2019 19:14

Ye - there are Mums and there are royals.
She has enough celebs and royalty to support her.

She has done nada to endear her to us mere plebs.
She looks lonely bless her? She's surrounded by family and security.
Fuck that.
She can do one as far as I'm concerned!

Thump · 11/07/2019 19:16

She's neurotic about the baby. She doesn't seem to realise her role or, if she does is refusing to comply with it.
The press will hound her in revenge if she doesn't play ball.
She's an idiot.
I've zero sympathy for her.

JacquesHammer · 11/07/2019 19:18

She's an idiot

Says the poster making judgements on a media-manipulated view of a person they don’t know.

No really, you look super-bright.

minou123 · 11/07/2019 19:18

Fair enough Grin.
I suppose I always thought that mums go through similar (if not exactly the same) issues and were perhaps a bit more understanding.

I understand that not everyone attends polo matches with thier 2 month old, but maybe understood what it's like to take a 2 month out in public. I dont know, but I'm definitely learning that its seems acceptable to judge what a women wear 2 months after giving birth Grin

colourlessgreenidea · 11/07/2019 19:19

Is the category of ‘mothers’ an homogeneous mass of people who are all duty-bound to swear allegiance to the pack? Confused

Some do. Others are the judgiest fuckers this side of Judy Sheindlin's desk.

AKA ‘people’

Thump · 11/07/2019 19:19

This is a recording, not snaps - and you will see that Kate is interacting with her the whole time.

BlackWomanHere · 11/07/2019 19:24

Some of you speak like you live next door to her 🤣

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 11/07/2019 19:28

Thump - what an utterly cringe making video! Absolute rubbish - Americans are quite ridiculous about this woman.

AmeriAnn · 11/07/2019 19:28

The dress is unsuitable for breastfeeding? Did you expect her to get her tits out for an extra photo opportunity?

She'd have to take that dress completely off to breastfeed her baby.

JacquesHammer · 11/07/2019 19:32

She'd have to take that dress completely off to breastfeed her baby

But not to feed with a bottle....

colourlessgreenidea · 11/07/2019 19:33

Some of you speak like you live next door to her

Ahem, are you questioning the credentials of an internet rando who categorically knows the precise levels of neuroticism of someone in the papers? Wink

W0rriedMum · 11/07/2019 19:34

The Daily Mail have some agenda here against Meghan. Why is everyone falling for it?
Either that or it's racism as a previous poster suggested..
She can't do anything right at all. If she stays at home, she's blanking the people. If she goes out, she allegedly messes that up too.
I hope her friends are rallying around her.

AmeriAnn · 11/07/2019 19:35

@MilkTrayLimeBarrel

ET (Entertainment tonight) is not America and does not represent us.

I have never met an American who likes or let alone even knows her. Princess Diana was different though. I couldn't stand her either
