To feel sorry for Meghan Markle - she looked lonely holding baby Archie at the Polo game

Did anyone else think Meghan Markle looked sad and lonely while holding baby Archie at Harry's polo game yesterday? There she was in the sunshine with her new baby while approx 2 metres away was her sister in law Kate completely wrapped up in her own children looking smug and not even glancing in poor Meghan's direction. There were loads of pictures taken and not one showed her chatting to Meghan or even looking at her, complete zero effort. The only ones who seemed to interact with Meghan and Archie were 1 year old Prince Louis and Harry when he finished the game! Kate is obviously not as sweet or friendly as she'd like the public to believe. Meghan gets so much criticism but she comes across as more down to earth and genuine.

Thump, that is.NOT The Duchess of Cambridge in that video, just a woman in a pink dress.

She was ignored at the Polo Match, she is not popular, which seems hard for people to understand on here.

AmeriAnn · 11/07/2019 19:37

Some of you speak like you live next door to her

There was a rumor that Kate had an account here. Grin

Pjsandbaileys · 11/07/2019 19:38

In Meghan's defense I always look like a Mardy cow and isolated in pictures I don know are being taken. I'm a bit of a daydreamer who likes people watching I imagine she's probably just have a quiet moment after the "Wimbledon picture"

CaptainJaneway62 · 11/07/2019 19:48

The british press definitely has it in for Meghan.
Of all the thousands of intrusive photos that would have been taken of her that day they always manage to pick out the worst!
Some pathetic tw*ts made comments about the way she's holding Archie....
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the way she holds him. My DGS would only be held upright...he hated being cuddled. My other DGS loved being cuddled laid horizontal all babies are different.
She is doing absolutely nothing wrong and she needs to be left alone by the vicious nasty british press.
They are all on a family outing and tbh even though it is nice to see pics of the young RF I definitely don't want to see pics with nasty vicious headlines attached and lies being told about Meghan and Harry because it's nothing but click bait trash reporting.

Well I for one find these threads really useful. They’re a sure fire way of indicating which posters don’t have two brain cells to rub together.

Christ, yes. This is a fucking corker Hmm:

I've never met her so I could be wrong, but there's something in her eyes that makes me think she's a devious woman with a plan, and serving the British public is not why she wanted the position. But, as I say, I could be wrong.

GrinGrinGrin

This is my first foray into a ‘royal’ thread, but I think I’m a convert now. I’ve never before seen such unfounded reactionary venom about a complete stranger.

Booboosweet · 11/07/2019 19:57

So mean to criticize how she's holding the baby for god's sake. First time parents have to learn! Leave her alone.

Eliza9919 · 11/07/2019 19:58

That baby also looks a bit big for a 2m old. He's massive.

colourlessgreenidea · 11/07/2019 20:01

That baby also looks a bit big for a 2m old

Just to be clear, are you alluding to a ‘stunt baby’? Or to something else?

MarshaBradyo · 11/07/2019 20:03

‘Something in her eyes’ is a cracker

Even with those sunglasses on

managedmis · 11/07/2019 20:04

Poor old Meg

gladrags90210 · 11/07/2019 20:05

AIBU or does baby Archie look a lot like like Jeremy Meeks?

SleepingStandingUp · 11/07/2019 20:05

She didn't need to be there at all
Meghan too good to support Husband in polo match. Perfect Kate was there last year with two active kids and a similar aged newborn. She's so lazy, can't even turn up.
and could have put Archie in a sling
Crap Meghan, too lazy to hold her own baby. Kate never used a sling. No other royal used a sling. Who does she think she is.
or buggy
Crap Meghan, too lazy to carry her own baby. You never saw Kate dumping her kids in a buggy, she's just stood there, whyis she ignoring him. Proof she just got pregnant to trap Harry.

It was all very posed and deliberate
I'm just gonna assume you saw dif photos to me. Those photos are as far from posed as you can get. Of course them being there is deliberate, thry were there supporting their husbands in their charity match, and there's always press at these events.
And why no hate for Kate who didn't need to be there, could have left the kids at home, and presumably was also subtley also posing deliberately

She's interacting with people round her, just cuddling her newborn. She's worn a loose dress, she's staying in the shade with the baby seems fine to me. There's been complaints about no pictures of the baby but there he is out for all to see. Don't think she looks miserable, but absorbed in her son though

Kate's off after her lively three.

managedmis · 11/07/2019 20:06

The only comment I have on that pic of Meg and Archie is that he should have had some socks on his little tootsies

SleepingStandingUp · 11/07/2019 20:08

serving the British public is not why she wanted the position you mean she didn't just hunt down any old eligible prince so she could serve the public? She actually got married to the bloke cos she loved him? How rude

colourlessgreenidea · 11/07/2019 20:10

‘Something in her eyes’ is a cracker

These people walk among us! ShockShockShock

JassyRadlett · 11/07/2019 20:12

This thread is a bloody classic.

We’ve had both ‘it was too hot! He needed a hat!’ and ‘he needed socks to stop his toes dropping off with cold!’

Are you lot the same women who approach new mothers in the shops to tell them they’re dressing their babies wrong?

JacquesHammer · 11/07/2019 20:14

Warming pan.

Just saying.

Betaboo · 11/07/2019 20:16

To me it looked like she was trying to hold the baby in a position that would keep his face from being photographed by the paparazzi in the bushes,, hence why it looks so awkward. She really doesn't deserve the ridicule she is receiving, on top of dealing with her horrible family..

LaurieMarlow · 11/07/2019 20:18

Consider yourself Piers Morgan’s dream come true. Grin

NeckPainChairSearch · 11/07/2019 20:20

For the love of FUCK.

Batshit Central.

AquaPris · 11/07/2019 20:24

I thought she just looked uncomfortable and like she was holding Archie really oddly. Meg needs a sling

Iamnotagoddess · 11/07/2019 20:26

People are a bit dim aren’t they.

Can’t see how they are being manipulated by the press.

MM and Harry won’t play the game (which I think is foolhardy) is they print pictures and stories of DOC looking amazing and “down to earth” and print stories about MM insinuating that she’s “difficult”.

She may well be but it’s beginning to feel savage and like a hideous example of bullying, and as a country we should be better than this.

Onescaredmuma · 11/07/2019 20:28

I never comment on royal threads but I actually think you're being really hard on Kate I have 3 kids approximately the same ages (she literally always gets pregnant within 6 months of me I think she's spying on me Grin) it's bloody hard work so sorry I wouldn't have been coming over to cuddle the new baby or give advice.
3 kids together are more arms than you've got if you take your eyes off them for a second one is out of reach and playing in something disgusting!
Megan is probably fine and having alot easier time than Kate with 3 times the stress. She's a first time mum it's daunting I'd be more pissed at a DH playing a polo match all day leaving me alone than a busy SIL not ignoring her own DCs to spend time with me. Although I was a karate widow when I had my first so I may be slightly biased there.
