To ask if those who want to leave the EU are happy to be personally worse off in order to do so

Following lots of discussion on the subject, it’s clear that leaving the EU is based on something other than financial impact, however, even the government’s impact assessments make it clear that there will be a negative impact.

Would you still chose to leave if you knew it would make you personally financially worse off?

Oh God. This one got nasty quick didnt it. I honestly believe that many who voted leave (atleast around me) did so because they really felt life would be better for them.
I dont know many people who are well off by any means.
As it is, they are people who were already struggling financially. We are lucky in our position that Brexit shouldn't affect us too badly, except I expect that my father, and our ILs, and our community to have less money. This will mean that our family will see more of our cash, as will the local food banks.

Many in the area dont care about the affect on jobs and wages, because when all the 'forriners have gone home, there'll be loads of council houses.

Sad state of affairs really.

Apparently we get free council house on arrival.I am actually really angry about this because no one told me! Was paying normal rent like a right mug. Would expect info posters at the airport or smth😁

I would love to know which EU country.

NinjaInFluffyPJs · 12/07/2019 20:41

@timeforakinderworld you might have to be more specific. Which EU country are OP's friends in? Which EU country I am from? Or do you mean something else?

Sorry I was talking about Oliversmumsarmy's friend's ds.
