To ask for your fb stalk fails???

Just randomly stalking on fb and clicked on an exes dad and sent a bloody friend request! Think I’ll have to leave the country.

Deactivated of course.

More my cousin's fail but woke up to group messages from cousin (different time zone) all sad because my Nan has died, so that was how I found out

DPs ex done something similar...sent a request to be tagged in one of my photos from 6 years ago (well before either of us had ever met my DP!). They had split 2 years before DP and I met so I figured it was just a little harmless fb stalking and quietly ignored the request!

I accidentally requested my exes new girlfriend as a friend. She accepted much to my exes displeasure.

Didn't tell an ex his current gf was in the same fb group as me - she had no idea, and one day me and ex went for a coffee (good friends). He started telling me about a disagreement/situation they'd had and I happily carried on discussing parts of it he'd never told me 🙈 I'd read it on her group posts a few weeks before.

He looked at me like I had three heads and I managed to convince him he'd spoken to me about it the week before 😂 I deleted fb soon after that. You find out way too much of other people's business that you don't really even want to know.

Typed the name and hit what I thought was search...typed in status update box rather than search so updated my status just with the name of the person I was stalking!

Literally always happens to me. Why

I was looking at friend's photos of her and her very glamorous friends on a night out. I clicked on one of her friend's names to have a nosey and accidentally friend requested her. She accepted fortunately and I messaged her to say I had no idea how she'd received a friend request but I was happy to be friends. Anyway she seems very nice and we often like each other's posts even though we've never met!!

You know you can cancel a friend request right OP?

Not fb but watched NC SILs public instastory lots of times without realising she'd know I'd seen it.

SIL is a nasty piece of work, and spent way too much time trying to break us up to appease drunken narcissistic MIL. Would pretty much camp on our doorstep some days waiting for us to open the door and happily welcome her, after very long entitled and cruel messages from her which she would adamently deny, very delusional sort but I like to keep tabs to know she hasn't got our new address. MIL often calls the police to find out where we are and is insistent I've murdered her son

A woman in my last job took a real dislike to me for no apparent reason. She popped up in my ‘people you may know’ list as we had 14 mutual friends. I had a little nosey to see who the 14 people from our office she liked better than me were and accidentally hit the friend request button. Worst of all, I didn’t immediately notice, so she may have seen it before I cancelled it Just what I wanted - for her to not only know I’d been looking at her page, but also to think I was desperate enough to be liked by her that I’d friend request her when she wouldn’t give me the time of day!

I’ve liked so many peoples photos who aren’t my friends and had to block them 😂

This properly made me laugh! I've almost done this and am now paranoid about it.

I had been watching my ex's girlfriends Instastories from an account that isn't linked to my personal name. She then changed her profile to private 😂 She's got quite a few followers so I can only assume it's because of me. He's a compulsive liar so the thing that annoys me the most is he's probably told her lies about me, and I don't even give a shit about him! I'm just a nosey idiot.

If you watch videos on someone's Facebook that they've posted on their wall do they get notified?

My best friend once typed her ex’s name in the search bar to have a stalk...but actually uploaded his name as her status! 😂 It still makes us die laughing.

This isn't really a stalking fail more of a fb fail but I logged into facebook messenger on my partners phone not realising contact sync was on so it automatically added his ex-girlfriend to my messenger contacts. What's worse I didn't notice for three days...

It comes up as a little icon on their story that they can click on to see who has viewed it.

Not so much a stalking fail, but I have mistakenly typed my google search into my status box before!
Luckily it was only the local weather forecast I was searching and not some embarrassing health issue!

CitadelofScience yes you can! But only if you watch it within the first 24 hours of it being posted I think. If it's one they have chosen to keep up for longer then they no longer get viewer info.
