Just randomly stalking on fb and clicked on an exes dad and sent a bloody friend request! Think I’ll have to leave the country.

Not me, but my exbf’s wife shared one of my photos. It was my hamster sitting on my cat’s back. I assume she thought it was just a photo I’d found. I’m not friends with either of them on fb and she and I have no mutual friends, so she was definitely looking through my profile. My privacy settings are high, but that was a profile photo.

I friend requested the OW

She worked with ExH and I knew there was something going on but was trying to get to the bottom of it. I didn't realise I'd requested her until ExH shouted at me for making her feel awkward - flamin' cheek, they're still together now!

Was stalking ExH's new wife (their wedding photo album, to be more specific, which is open to the public), someone knocked on the door and had to run. Meanwhile my 4yo grabbed the phone and posted twenty thousand "crazy", "angry" and "crying" stickers under the Mr&Mrs photo.
I realised only when I got an email from the ex the next day. His wife has actually reported this to the police as harassment.

Back when I was new at Facebook I used to type the names of people I was searching for in to my status rather than search bar

Stalking OH ex page and forgot where I was and accidentally commented on one of her photos oooh I like your necklace 😱

Sent countless friend requests and likes by mistake. Even if you block they get notified. Very embarrassing.
Some of these stories really made me laugh especially Biscuits story about the tagging!

Not FB but we had a new senior manager starting at work, so boss decided to look at his profile on LinkedIn.

When new bloke started he asked who xxx was, as he'd looked at his LinkedIn profile 16 times in a week (Boss had gone for same job and didn't get so was v disgruntled!)

My partner had a girl living with him who was obsessed with him and thought they were in a relationship, even though they clearly weren't, so it was a shock to her when he started having me around.
I was stalking her one day, accidentally added her and then had to bump into her a few hours later in the house, was mortified!

Also instastories, I didn't realise you could tell who voted what in the polls so intentionally voted the negative answer for a laugh of someone I went to school with (they'd just been on a tv show and put a poll up asking if anyone was interested in her doing a q and a) - queue an awkward apology when I bumped into her at a party a few months later, I shouldn't have even brought it up because as she mentioned she now had so many followers she didn't notice things like that anyway! ha

When my mum first joined FB she thought posting on her wall was the same as Search. You can imagine what her profile looked liked by then she already had a couple of friends, poor things

Not me but DPs ex (who cheated on him and left him for OM when DSS was very small) was regularly viewing both our insta stories for about 2 weeks. She suddenly stopped so she probably figured out that we could see her and is dying of embarrassment even though it has never been mentioned. We have an good relationship with her for the sake of co-parenting but she isnt generally up for much chit chat with DP which we think is down to her jealous OH. Wonder what he would say if he knew!!

Also recently had a guy I went on one date with years ago viewing my insta story.

I got home from a night out around 3am a couple of years back drunk as anything, and in some form of drunken sadness decided to Facebook search my ex boyfriends (who I was very much not over) current girlfriend. I kept searching her name over and over again and nothing was working. I ended up passing out after many, many failed attempts. I didn't wake up until 2pm the next day with a dead phone, by the time I'd charged it and checked my facebook it had been over 12 hours since I'd posted her name as my Facebook status thirty three times. I was still Facebook friends with all his family and we had a lot of mutual friends. It was horrifying.

Not a fail exactly but I've been doing my best investigative journalism act on dating websites - the so called "engineers" are plumbers, the "managing director" is self employed lorry driver etc. I don't care what job people do, but I like honesty!!!

I have an additional blank FB profile that I log into for any stalking purposes

Not FB, but a friend sent me a text once asking had I heard from this guy I was madly in love with. I was half asleep and my thumb automatically scrolled to my unrequited love's name instead of my friend, and I sent a reply saying "No, I haven't heard from X but yes, I am still in love with him!" Cue very awkward phonecall!

I have posted stalkee names as my facebook status too...
And, very awkwardly, one of my male friends came up as an automatic tag on a photo of my child whilst DP was sitting right beside me!

To funny, a colleague in work was having a nosey on Instagram after a few beers, he was new to it and click on lots of photos leaving hearts and reactions.
I am not on either, thank god, I am so clumsy, I've been caught out sending the wrong email more than once.

Given that the ex hasn't single follower or follows anyone and has never posted any pictures it downright sad. I keep blocking him and his new 'John Smith' accounts. Stupid dickhead. Feel sorry for his Mrs.

It's the same with Facebook stories I'm afraid but not videos I don't think. I think videos you can only see the number of people that have watched it - although maybe different for different accounts.

I was in the middle of a Facebook Messenger conversation with my middle daughter, and somehow my cursor must have travelled without my noticing (my laptop is getting a bit 'sticky') and I thought I was replying to her when I typed 'your brother seems to be enjoying his new job!xxx'

When I looked up, I'd posted this as a comment on a feed about something completely different, and it looked as though I was remarking that a previous poster's brother might be a criminal. I deleted it immediately, but now live in fear that someone may have read it before I deleted....

Name changer I didn't. Ex messaged me saying nothing but the word "really?" And his entire family blocked me. My friends found it hilarious. I couldn't think of anything to make myself look less insane so I just stayed silent and deleted all traces but I still feel sick to this day when I think of it
