To feel the rage with “teacher tired” posts

Rainbowsandglitterbullshit · 28/06/2019 18:26

The season of teachers posting SM messages “no one knows tired like an end of term teacher/TA/dinner lady” is almost upon us.

I want to scream, what about the fuckers who work stupid hours all week and don’t get 6 weeks off in the summer, half term, two weeks Easter, two weeks at Christmas.

I wouldn’t be a teacher for all the tea in China but these people chose their career.

Grrr, actually don’t care if I’m BU.

@Myothercarisalsoshit your comment has been reported.

ilovesooty · 30/06/2019 22:49

She doesn't sound distressed. She sounds utterly fed up - as she has every right to be.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 30/06/2019 22:52

Cherries of course it has.
Honestly? Your goading made me do it.
Sorry if I offended your delicate sensibilities.
To be honest I'm a trifle fed up with all the teacher bashing.

I work at a behavioural school, where day in and day out I get spat at, abused verbally and physically by chairs being thrown... restraints etc etc....

Yes I am SHATTERED!!! I had a child purposely make themselves sick the other day to throw up on me.

So yes. I am exhausted, mentally and physically. I ache, I am covered in bruises and cuts....

I need my holidays!!!! So screw you!

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 30/06/2019 22:59

Sorry for bringing the tone down..can we go back to talking about the MN school?

ilovesooty · 30/06/2019 23:09

I don't get all these references to other forums that @cherriesandoranges is making and accusations of moving between them under different names.

MsRabbitRocks · 30/06/2019 23:10

What should we call it, Sarcasm?!

SemperIdem · 30/06/2019 23:14

Babdoc

I was married to a teacher. Actually no, he was significantly more knackered than I was when our daughter was a newborn.

I’d have expected better critical thinking skills from a doctor, to be quite honest.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 30/06/2019 23:37

Cherries I was on this thread much earlier than you. Haven't you read it all? I don't 'float between forums' as you say. Although I am occasionally on TES. Because I am, actually, a teacher.

cherriesandoranges · 30/06/2019 23:43

@Myothercarisalsoshit no I've been working most of the day(unpaid overtime and no longer a teacher) and don't have time to read 800 comments like you have.

ilovesooty · 30/06/2019 23:44

These accusations of floating between forums and using different names to do so are somewhat mystifying.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 30/06/2019 23:47

Agreed Ilovesooty unless ...

ilovesooty · 30/06/2019 23:48

Rather close to troll hunting really...

Namenic · 30/06/2019 23:51

MitziK - which bit of the nhs?!

@cherriesandoranges - I think this is the grim humour of people pushed to their limits. Some people complain but do more than required. Not as good as people who don’t complain but do the same - but I expect they are rare beasts in the cash-strapped, stressed, under-staffed environment.

noblegiraffe · 01/07/2019 00:27

noble scares the crap out of me...

Wait, what? Shock

BoneyBackJefferson · 01/07/2019 06:35

cherriesandoranges

no I've been working most of the day(unpaid overtime and no longer a teacher) and don't have time to read 800 comments like you have.

More moaning, whinging and virtue signalling.

If you don't like your job you should leave.

BelindasGleeTeam · 01/07/2019 06:52

She's clearly not very happy if she's working all those hours and moaning about it.

Maybe she's just not very good at her job either. Or a bit thick, you know, like teachers.

Anyhow, stop moaning about how long you work and go do your job.

malificent7 · 01/07/2019 06:58

Why dont you all retrain then? I just gave up teaching as quite frankly all the holidays are not worth the huge workload plusall the crap. I have done a variety of tougb roles but NOTHING comes close to the exhaustion of teaching....not even working for NHS as thats who i now work for as a trainee medical practioner.

fedup21 · 01/07/2019 07:43

@Myothercarisalsoshit no I've been working most of the day(unpaid overtime and no longer a teacher) and don't have time to read 800 comments like you have.

Moan, moan, moan-maybe you should retrain and find a new job?

cherriesandoranges · 01/07/2019 07:45

@BelindasGleeTeam a bit unfair calling call teachers thick. That's out of order.

DuckWillow · 01/07/2019 08:54

Suspect @BelindasGleeTeam is a bit thick tbh.

I get the rage when I see posts like the OP but then I have had an autistic child go through 11 years of schooling and seen first hand how most teachers go above and beyond the call of duty.

Likely Belinda has neurotypical children so can be smug and condescending about teachers as she has no appreciation of their job.

SoupDragon · 01/07/2019 08:55

Really? I suspect Belinda was being sarcastic.

BelindasGleeTeam · 01/07/2019 09:08

Yes.

Belinda was being sarcastic as she's a teacher of 15+ years with an Oxbridge background and frankly is fed up of being accused of being lazy, stupid and workshy.

It's beyond a joke.
