To think there seems no depth to which remainers...

Will not stoop in persecuting Brexiteers. Childish namecalling 'thick', 'racist' 'gammon', and now the vexatious private prosecution against Boris Johnson which was quashed before it even got to court.

OP posts:
moonrises · 07/06/2019 19:09

I do find it mildly amusing that those brexiters calling for sovereignty are the same ones that get very annoyed when UK law is followed and implemented.

LizzieSiddal · 07/06/2019 19:10

Hahahahahaa you’re so very funny.

You forgot to mention all the lying, bribery and breaking of electoral Law, from the Brexiteers.

dreichuplands · 07/06/2019 19:12

walking What freedom?
I'm not hate filled but as someone currently in the USA I really do not want to have a USA style healthcare system or even drug costs.
I also don't want USA food standards or labels.
We are losing our freedom of movement and I truly cannot see any freedoms we are gaining in return.

Lifeover · 07/06/2019 19:15

Op I agree with you. Unfortunately some remainers are so adamant that anyone with a different perspective should be persecuted by any means necessary is getting beyond a joke.

Unfortunately we’ve had 3years of remainers holding themselves out as the moral and intellectual high ground some of them have come to believe they have Carte Blanche to do what they like, whether that be assaulting politicians or attempting to prosecute them.

NunoGoncalves · 07/06/2019 19:17

I'm sure Boris was never particularly stressed about it, OP, don't worry.

ReanimatedSGB · 07/06/2019 19:18

What, like the carte blanche the racist fuckwits think they have to call other people traitors and assault anyone they percieve as 'different' with impunity?

Bunnyfuller · 07/06/2019 19:20

I am STILL, 3 years on, waiting to hear ONE factual benefit of leaving the EU. Just ONE. Not blathering about we won bs, just tell me ONE solid reason for leaving.

Sits down to wait.

LizzieSiddal · 07/06/2019 19:25

FFS Bunny you’ve forgotten to mention the Blue passports! (Which we could have anyway).

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 07/06/2019 19:25

Unfortunately we’ve had 3years of remainers holding themselves out as the moral and

life was so very close...just one more some and id have agreed with your post

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 07/06/2019 19:27

I do agree with life that some remainers are very like that

(But i think some people who voted brexit are too)

Patroclus · 07/06/2019 19:28

Seriously, what is behind the mass outbreak of idiocy in this country?

Lifeover · 07/06/2019 19:30

Rufus apologies quite happy to insert another some in there as I don’t know every remainer

OutInTheCountry · 07/06/2019 19:33

Johnson's defence QC said of the NHS bus claim:
"It was just a political claim open to, and available for, contradiction and debate, and it was, and is, for the good sense of the electorate to discount it if they choose so to do."

It's sad then that the good sense of the electorate to see through the claim could not be relied upon. I know some-one who's not politically engaged and voted leave purely because of what was written on this bus. Had she known it was bullshit she would have voted remain. I don't think all leave voters were thick and racist, but I'm bloody sure a significant proportion of them were.

Biber · 07/06/2019 19:37

I've had my life threatened. Most of my active friends have. An MP was killed. Politicians are advised to leave the HoC in groups and take taxis. Poor little Boris and his friends.

@Bunnyfuller
Completely agree - no-one seems able to say, and half the people who do talk about it seem to have completely misunderstood the details.

ReanimatedSGB · 07/06/2019 19:43

A lot of people who originally voted Leave are now regretting it: some of them were gullible idiots, some thought there were benefits (other than sticking it to Johnny Foreigner and getting rid of all those people with non-white skin) to be had in leaving.
Nobody but the exceptionally stupid, the immovably racist or the greedily crooked now thinks that leaving without extraordinary damage to society is now possible.

Icantreachthepretzels · 07/06/2019 19:48

some of them have come to believe they have Carte Blanche to do what they like, whether that be assaulting politicians or attempting to prosecute them.

Yeah - remember that time a remainer assassinated a leaver MP? Or the time leave supporter Anna Soubry was accosted outside the houses of parliament by a gang of male remainers calling her a traitor and a nazi? Remember how the abuse got so bad from remainers she required a police escort just to go to work? Or the time she was warned it wasn't safe for her to go home because of threats remainers had made against her life?

Oh no ... wait. It's female remain mps whose lives are in danger for standing up for what they believe in - in danger due to actions from leave voters.

A milkshake at Farage and a court case because Boris broke the law doesn't really compare - does it?
Hmm

HomeMadeMadness · 07/06/2019 19:52

Yeah. Who cares if people will actually die due to lack of medicine, lose their jobs, their houses their livelihoods. Have to move from a country in which they've built up a life. Who cares their elderly relatives won't have any one to care for them and our NHS might fall apart. The real tragedy is that poor multi millionaire Boris Johnson was sued and people who hate experts are exposed as erm not themselves being experts.

Bunnyfuller · 07/06/2019 20:22

Interested to. Hear precisely what ‘freedom’ we’ll get back? What ‘freedoms’ are we currently denied?

pickme · 07/06/2019 20:27

I am taking some tips from the privileged elite brexiteers who lied and cheated but I still have a awful long way to go before I get anywhere near that low.
Nice try by the way but you have a plank in your eye!

luckylavender · 07/06/2019 20:28

Speechless.

PickleC · 07/06/2019 20:31

Its an odd sort of freedom to volunteer to be under punishing WTO rules we would have no say over. And to seek deals with the likes of the US who, lets face it, being the much larger economy can demand and bulldoze through terms that involve accepting lower environmental and food safety standards and include stripping NHS assets for then benefit of their private healthcare companies. Oh yay. Freedom......

jasjas1973 · 07/06/2019 20:47

Childish name calling 'thick', 'racist' 'gammon'

To be fair, the leavers i know fall into at least one of the above categories.
One voted Leave because her dad told her too, another because he thought Turkey would join and my aunt who thinks we should deport Muslims, apparently there are too many.

Boris was sent to trial by a magistrate, the High court deemed there was no charge to answer, that's how our system works but unlike most, BJ had access to top lawyers, the average joe is just as likely to have no one due to legal aid cuts.
