DP taking his DCs out for dinner

I’m really tired so probably am BU.
DP said this morning he’d got notification from his bank that he didn’t have enough to cover DD leaving his account.
I said I could send £xxx to cover the bills (his phone bill) as he has helped me out in the past.
He’s just phoned to say he’s taking his DCs out for dinner.
Under any other circumstances I would have no problem with this & it’s not a tit for tat but I haven’t taken my DCs out in 2 years or myself for that matter. The money was for bills. Meals out are a luxury when you can actually afford them. He said ‘ you don’t need me to pick anything up do you because you’re having beans on toast’.
It takes me 2 days of hard bloody slog to earn what I sent over to him.

We have 4 contracts. One each for me and DH plus 2 for the teens. It costs us half of his phonebill for 2 people.

I'm so glad you've seen the light. I hope you get your money back and get rid of him. You deserve much better.

Hi OP how are you?

WouldLoveAHolidayRightNow I hope you have found your inner strength and dumped this man?

I don’t think the OP asked what people are paying on their phone contracts

People are disputing whether he is actually spending £150 per month on his phone bill. That amount of money would get you two brand new, 512gb iPhone XS with unlimited data plans on Three. If he is skint, why does he have such an expensive phone/extravagant plan and why is it her job to pay for that?

If he doesn’t have a top of the range phone (and presumably she knows what phone he has), he is obviously lying about needing the money for his phone bill, and is just stealing from her.

Both show him in a bad light - he is either a complete wastrel or a thief.

Oh god is this the Easter egg stealing, phone giving and taking away man?? Either way OP you’re being used and disrespected.

He is one of these sponging wankers who always seem to forget their wallet, seem to disappear when on meals out when it's time to pay, always asking for money with a promise to pay back, but they never actually do. Please do not pay for his phone bill, because every month he will want something else paying.

Omg how does anyone spend £150 a month on a phone! I have unlimited data sim and it only costs me £16 a month! I think he's lying to you. Get rid! Spoil your kids with £150 instead!
