£175 for this... AIBU to complain?

Went to SAKS. Never paid this much for a hair-do in my life, but really wanted a great ombre-balayage and saved up for it.

This is what I got. I'm so upset. Didn't realise it was this bad in the salon under the soft lighting in a corner of the salon with no natural light.

Spent 4 hrs (twice the amount of time she said it'd take, so she also had to tend to 2 other clients inbetween doing my hair). Came out feeling sick, dizzy and rushing off to pick DS up from MIL who needed to go out so didn't get chance to really look at it til I got home.

Can I complain now that I've left the salon?

I really don't think you should worry, looking at your hair it is easily fixable BUT wow its a bad job.

I don't think you should feel bad, she shouldn't be cutting/colouring hair if thats the best she can do!

I don't think she's been sacked ,I think they're just avoiding awkwardness ( or worse ) and not wanting you to come into contact with her .

I've no doubt that you'd be restrained if you did bump into her ,but I guess they don't .

i think if it were me I'd enquire .

Tbh OP I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s a transient industry, I have hairdresser friends who have been sacked all over the place. She wasn’t all that good, so I can see why the night ask her to leave!

I thought the point of this type of dying was so you couldn’t see roots. You look like you have roots. I’d be right back there. £175 is a huge amount to not complain.
