My family think I must have shares in Sudocrem because i recommend it for almost any ailment 😁😁

Latest proof: friction burn from dog lead walking accident (don’t ask)... medics recommended keep clean, loose dressing, leave it to heal naturally.. 1 week later, no better.

3 days of Sudocrem - virtually fixed, almost expect new foot to grow shortly !

who will join me in the Ode to Sudocrem - or even recommend new potions with magical powers that I can add to my list?

Dodie

My GP prescribed Eumovate for vulval soreness. It has been a godsend.

Chancewouldbeafinethlng · 18/05/2019 11:19

I bloody love it! Have used it for years as a face mask, I put a thin layer on my problem areas and go to sleep with it on. Works a treat on calming down spots.
One time my leg fell off so I kept applying a thin layer - hey presto by morning I’d grown a new leg! The magic of zinc 💫

SoConfused2019 · 18/05/2019 11:20

Add Arnica cream/gel to your magic potion list - my nan always swore by it for bruises and now I have my own ds I wouldn't be without the stuff. put the gel on the bruises at bedtime and they're gone by the morning!

stuckonaname · 18/05/2019 11:25

Love Sudocream for anything red..
Does anybody know if it would work on cold sores?

wheresmymojo · 18/05/2019 11:26

I was raising some kittens for Cats Protection that all had an awful bought of diahorrea - so much so their poor little bums were red raw.

Went to the vets and they recommended sudocreme - apparently does them no harm even if they wash it off themselves and ingest it.

Kitten's bum holes were back to normal in a couple of days.

Felt very odd applying the cream like some kind of kitten pervert but it worked...

Invented and made in Dublin? Yet another reason not to piss off the Irish. You know where I'm going with this now, don't you? Grin Five letter word beginning with B, and it's not brain, or Bronx, or burnt, or... Grin

onalongsabbatical · 18/05/2019 11:29

Ha ha - SIX letters. Better rub some on my brain...

MissMogwai · 18/05/2019 11:32

My teenage DDs say I prescribe this for everything and they're right! Spots, bites, burns, broken legs...

My eldest uses it as a mask sometimes and it leaves her skin looking great.

I agree it's not great on sensitive skin, as you have to rub it off. Other than that it's fab!

MustardScreams · 18/05/2019 11:32

I used Sudocreme on my post-birth stitches and they healed beautifully. The only thing that gave me any relief!

Haffiana · 18/05/2019 11:35

Now look you lot. I think some of the comments on here are a bit exaggerated!

Lastleafonthetree · 18/05/2019 11:36

It clears up scaly leg on chickens too!

UmpetyLumpety · 18/05/2019 11:42

@bbcessex

Yup, and on their ears too if they have a bit of rain scald... the dark brown ones look really comical dashing around the field with white-smeared ears and legs! We have one that doesn't really like her ears being touched though (had them twisted as a method of control before she came to us) but really needs the cream, I end up looking like a ghost by the time I've got her slathered up and she's rubbed herself all over me. I have many T-shirts that have white ghost stains on them despite a few washes! Grin

St Sudocrem Halo

What was my life like before Sudocrem? Unconscionable I imagine.

user1486131602 · 18/05/2019 11:44

My favourite ‘bum cream’. Didn’t work on the STBXH tho🤣
Did clear up my skin problem tho! Brilliant stuff.

UmpetyLumpety · 18/05/2019 11:47

@user1486131602

Your mistake with the application of Sudocrem to STBXH was that you didn't buy a large enough pot to stuff his entire head into it... That would have cured him for sure... Wink

user1486131602 · 18/05/2019 11:52

Damn! late to try that now!
But, I am having a new patio this summer!!🤣😂

fedup21 · 18/05/2019 11:53

My marriage was on the rocks and just a smear of sudocrem every night for a week soon had us back on track

I first saw Sudocrem as a small child at Grandma's house. They always had huge tub. It was used by grandad to put on his sore stumps where his legs had been amputated above the knee.

I am very disappointed that this daily use of Sudocrem did not, in fact, regrow his legs.

Though now I do question if he was actually using it right.....

TheBoyWhoLostHisSocks · 18/05/2019 12:19

You could say we're fond of it...

Got the giant pot today to complete our "collection"

Littlecaf · 18/05/2019 12:21

Sudocrem is amazing! My DM packed me some in my first year uni ‘care package’ along with paracetamol, plates etc! I use it all the time. Defs a Mumsnet recommends!

blibblibs · 18/05/2019 12:28

We have Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream as the house magic cream, much nicer than sudocrem.
