Why are people still deluding themselves about Michael Jackson??

If any grown man I know invited children to sleep in his bed with him there would be absolutely no question about what was going on. I am sure that most people would agree, why are so many people still deluding themselves about this?? Makes me so cross, why do they even play his music on the radio??

And if someone is going to get a dick out that I'm not interested in and I felt they were bigger and stronger than me or they were especially persuasive, I'm going to look in every direction but, probably let everything blur, so even if there wS a mole or other distinctive mark, I might not remember exactly where, or how big, or how dark. I would be too busy in my happy place, making unthreatening automatic responses.

nevernotstruggling · 26/02/2019 23:30

@chicaguapa yes he was. 12 counts of indecent assault many were teens

HowlsMovingBungalow · 26/02/2019 23:31

aka Dissociate.

It is what victims do, dissociate with the abuse - separate from themselves.

The MJ cult don't get it.

Whatisthisfuckery · 26/02/2019 23:31

Was he a paedophile, almost certainly.

Do I still love his music, excepting Earth Song obvs, yes.

I loved MJ when I was a kid. He had that certain mystique, but after that documentary in the early 90s, I’d have been about 10, I thought he was creepy as fuck, in the same way I thought Saville was creepy as fuck. Just not right, but I still love the music he made, and don’t forget, other people had input into that music as well, so I try to separate the artefact from the man. If we couldn’t do that then there’d be hardly any art or music to enjoy, unfortunately.

limitedperiodonly · 26/02/2019 23:34

Paedophiles groom parents too. It's what they do. It's part of the game.

Lucked · 26/02/2019 23:37

I know I have to turn over when he is on the radio, it was apparent for decades before his death that his behaviour was abnormal and it was never properly addressed.

Same thing with Woody Allen big names desperate to be in one of films. The allegations against him started in the early nineties!

GunpowderGelatine · 26/02/2019 23:39

A teacher at DD's infant school share an article on - despite him being a known paedophile with indecent images of children and people coming forward - ONE bloke said he went to Neverland and MJ never touched him. And posted "those who doubt MJ read this".you teach 6 year olds FFS stop minimising paedophilic because you like his music

HowlsMovingBungalow · 26/02/2019 23:40

I am finding BBC radio playing more MJ lately... maybe it is me noticing it more.

They haven't learnt from previous shithead abusers.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 26/02/2019 23:49

Michael was a child in mental status looking for fun fairs, zoos and sleepovers to have the childhood denied him when he was little

That might be true and I believe it is but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t sexually attracted to and abusing children

He was obviously a very complex person with mh issues but that does not excuse him from abusing children, abusing his fame and power and manipulating people around him

I have found it hard to believe because I didn’t want to was a huge fan I haven’t stopped thinking he was a great artist he was but the good but rather strange sad person I thought he was is only part of him and that hide the terribly cruel side

HowlsMovingBungalow · 26/02/2019 23:54

Love to know what his 'MN' response would be to -

'I have a baby, since he was 6 months old I have tried to cover up his dark hair and have bleached it blonde to do this ... aibu?'

Thundered · 26/02/2019 23:56

LadyDeadpool

I completely agree with what you’ve said. I cannot understand how anyone justifies MJs actions!

It’s more than creepy & the majority of you who don’t believe these guys, would not leave your child with an adult man (now or back in the day) especially when rumours were flying around of him being a Paedophile even then.

How can a 13 year old boy describe his penis especially with distinctive & accurate markings? How would he know this without seeing it? Why would he pay him off and not clear his name? MJ had it all - money, time, the best lawyers at hand etc to be able to do this but still it was easier to pay him off... Hmm

How can you justify all the young boys pictures found in his home after his death?

If this was your next door neighbour you wouldn’t be defending this type of behaviour. You’re defending it because it’s MJ. I agree with his music too, I can’t listen to any of it & shouldn’t be played any longer.

screamer1 · 27/02/2019 00:07

I've literally just finished watching "leaving never land". If anyone comes out of that thinking that he's innocent, they're absolutely deluded.

It's a horrifically detailed and distressing account of a predatory man and his victims. I believe them.

Thundered · 27/02/2019 00:07

But the child knew where these marks were & it matched what he said? It doesn’t matter what you or I would do in that situation because we weren’t there. Anything could have happened for that child to know exactly what his penis looked like. It’s not asif this happened recently where more than likely there would be a picture of MJs dick online somewhere searchable, so anyone could say this. This child clearly seen something.

MJ was an abuser simple.

This documentary is one of the earlier attempts to get to the bottom of it all;

Rainsunshine · 27/02/2019 00:26

It’s like “abducted in plain sight” the celeb version 🤷🏼‍♀️

Luckystar777 · 27/02/2019 00:36

Three songs he sang had very important lyrics, regardless of what he may or may not have done:

Heal the World

Earth Song

They Don't Care About Us

Now you never hear these songs or anything that resembles them, that is a real shame, instead you just have Eminem encouraging rape, violence, drugs, gangs, guns.

GreenTulips · 27/02/2019 00:37

Local school concert had children singing and dancing to MJ music

Turned my stomach

ColeHawlins · 27/02/2019 00:38

Yep ALL the music in the world can be divided into Eminem or MJ. Sure it canConfused

Luckystar777 · 27/02/2019 00:43

I'd just like to add, can we please, try to start thinking outside of the box. It is 2019 and it is really time to start waking up. I am by no means saying Michael was innocent, nor do we have any hard evidence he was guilty. None of us will ever know what goes on in Hollywood. I think it is run by extremely corrupt and sick people. I believe Celebrities are MASSIVELY controlled and told what to say and do. Consider for a moment that Michael, for whatever reasons, broke his contract and this may have made people want to give him a bad name. Don't believe everything you read, see or hear.

AllesAusLiebe · 27/02/2019 00:44

Luckystar777

A couple of points here:

Song lyrics in no way compensate for his behaviour if he was a paedophile.

I never really understood the supposed “poignancy” of Earth Song. All I ever heard was wailing. It goes right through me.

Did Jackson ever donate any of his millions of dollars to conservation charities? Not a rhetorical question: I don’t know the answer and am genuinely interested.

MyBestFriendIsAHamster · 27/02/2019 00:44

Did he ever invite girls over for sleepovers? Or try to befriend girls n the same way he did young boys?

Surely if he was just childlike and innocent he would have invited both boys and girls to sleep in his bed...

MyBestFriendIsAHamster · 27/02/2019 00:44

*in

BejamNostalgia · 27/02/2019 00:46

luckystar, do you really think they were ‘important’ songs? They were trite play by numbers simplistic and self aggrandising insincere ditties that changed nothing.

‘Heal the world’ was part of publicising his ‘Heal the world foundation’ which was an organisation that did very little except facilitate his access to children.

‘They don’t really care about us’? Well who is us? At the time he was a hugely wealthy man who used his wealth to manipulate the legal system. ‘They’ certainly cared about him and his money, there was no ‘us’, he wasn’t one of us.

GirlRaisedInTheSouth · 27/02/2019 00:46

In answer to your question OP, watch Abducted in Plain Sight. Absolutely shocking how children - and their parents - can be groomed.

FangTasticBeast · 27/02/2019 00:51

Rain

That’s what I was just thinking, I watched it at the weekend and was 😱 all the way through.

The lengths he went to to manipulate and groom the family and some of the things they went along with
