you'd like to or plan to see one day?

My ones are Freddie Mercury at Live Aid, or George Michael at the Freddy Mercury memorial concert.

People I'd love to see live are Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz, Stone Roses, Prodigy.and Sia.

Queen (original line up), Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix

I'd really like to see AC/DC again now

Abacab · 14/02/2019 02:42

Pink Floyd and Leonard Cohen. (There are some decent Floyd tribute bands around so I guess I could still see one of those, but Cohen isn't really replicable.) Also Brian Wilson back when he was performing Smile live.

On the plus side I have seen Frank Sidebottom playing in a pub so that's something...

sleepylittlebunnies · 14/02/2019 02:42

Most definitely Queen or a Live Aid concert. I’d like to see Bruno Mars one day with DDs, he puts on a real show.

Whatafustercluck · 14/02/2019 03:08

Queen, David Bowie, Pink Floyd.

I too would like to see Sia.

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 14/02/2019 03:14

Led Zeppelin, ELO and Fleetwood Mac.

WhereYouLeftIt · 14/02/2019 03:54

I would have loved to have seen Prince.

RainbowWaffles · 14/02/2019 03:54

Nirvana/ Queen

GNR with Axl and Slash was always on this list so I was very happy when they finally reformed and I went to see them!

OnTheHop · 14/02/2019 04:02

I saw Prince.

Wish I had seen Bowie.

OutOntheTilez · 14/02/2019 04:09

Led Zeppelin. That would be a fantasy come true.
Pink Floyd.
Fleetwood Mac.
Elvis. My mother cried when he passed away in 1977. She was devastated not only that Elvis was dead but also that I would never get to see him live in concert.

AuntieOxident · 14/02/2019 04:14

I wish I’d seen The Who in their early days - guitar smashing, punch-ups, the lot. They must have been electric. The footage of them playing at Woodstock looks amazing.
Saw the Stones a couple of times and Pink Floyd too. I have no memory of the latter at all but hey, it was the late 60s. Shrug.
I saw Bette Midler at the Palladium in the mid-70s. She was great, so funny and a fantastic, versatile singer. She played the O2 last year but even the cheap seats were £150! We’d have not had much change from 500 quid for a night out including travel, drinks and something to eat.

PrickWhittington · 14/02/2019 13:11

Ah - all these names - so sad to think how many are now gone. I just can't think of many current bands/ singers who are anywhere close to that sort of standard. I'd like to see Madonna alive I think, I'm not a massive fan but she's probably one of very few who will be immortal so to speak. Seeing Lenny Kravitz live in June, hoping he wears some pants this time though .....

AuntieOxident - I remember my Mum telling me about seeing the Who in their early days - she was very unimpressed when they smashed the guitars up at the end!

Nirvana for me.

PrickWhittington · 14/02/2019 13:13

Eek - 'live' not 'alive'!

Baconislife · 14/02/2019 13:17

Prince
Kate Bush
Bowie
George Michael
Queen
The Doors

PrickWhittington · 14/02/2019 13:18

Yes - Nirvana would have been amazing, and Prince, Bowie - all the ones mentioned really.

On the plus side, I have managed to see the legends that are Little Mix 3 times now Hmm. (thanks DD Grin )

I'm with you OP on Live Aid- my jammy DP was there.
I wish I could see Prince, Zappa and Bowie.
Would love to see Foo Fighters, Eurythmics and Red Hot Chili Peppers

thesunwillout · 14/02/2019 13:20

Tom Waits, he's still alive, there's hope.

Wish I'd seen Pink Floyd.
Saw The Who when Entwistle was still with us, but would have loved to have seen Moony.

EthelFechan · 14/02/2019 13:25

Fleetwood Mac in the 70s - touring the Rumours album.

CaptainJaneway62 · 14/02/2019 13:27

I wished I'd gone to see Dire Straits Alchemy Tour just to see them perform Sultans of Swing!! I play the Youtube video most nights!!
Others I wished I'd seen....
Queen
Chris Rea
ELO
Eurythmics
Blondie
George Michael
Neil Diamond
Thompson Twins
OMD
Tears For Fears
Depeche Mode
I was very much into Soul Music as a young teenager/adult and always dreamed of being on Soul Train tv show!
Oh so many fantastic bands and artists from the 60's, 70's, 80's.
Feel lucky to have lived through these decades of phenomenal music.

Serendipitybojangle · 14/02/2019 13:27

Queen with Freddie or Prince.

Hobbz · 14/02/2019 13:27

Duran Duran (after their heyday - friend's choice not mine)
Cold Play (got free tickets somehow, don't remember how, left after one song as I realised I would rather be in the pub. Think they took forever to come on so was grumpy by this point)
Iron Maiden
Bryan Adams - several times
Bon Jovi - several times
Saxon
Rush
Metallica
Status Quo
Thunder
Massive Wagons - not yet but have tickets so soon!

YoThePussy · 14/02/2019 13:30

Saw David Bowie three times (preen) twice at Earls Court in the £2 restricted view tickets which in fact had the most brilliant view.

Wish I could have seen Queen when Freddie Mercury was still alive. Also would have liked to see George Michael.

BirthdayCakes · 14/02/2019 13:30

Johnny Cash - he played my hometown but I CBA.. Then he died

James Brown - played heaps, he'll always be touring, I thought, then he died..

Nina Simone - I was too young and a bit scared of her, then she stopped touring and died..

youknowmedontyou · 14/02/2019 13:31

Queen my OH saw them twice Angry
