you'd like to or plan to see one day?

My ones are Freddie Mercury at Live Aid, or George Michael at the Freddy Mercury memorial concert.

People I'd love to see live are Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz, Stone Roses, Prodigy.and Sia.

Would love to have seen Linkin Park. Could have got VIP tickets for free once but didn't find out until the week after the concert!

Myusernameismud · 14/02/2019 19:17

Fleetwood Mac or the Mamas and Papas.

I saw Status Quo playing a private gig (about 100 people) around 10 years ago. I was working in event management and walking around a circular table sprinkling swarovski crystals every-fucking-where, when Francis Rossi came up behind me and said 'I like how you do that, very arty-farty'. I was 22 at the time and had no idea who he was Grin

littlebillie · 14/02/2019 19:25

Crowed House at Sydney Opera House

Floralnomad · 14/02/2019 19:29

I’ve seen everybody I wanted to see so far , went to Live Aid, Queen at Wembley in 1986 etc . The only people I’d like to have seen was a full Wham gig so that’s not happening , although I did see George Michael a few times .

JustAboutGettingBy · 14/02/2019 19:31

Queen hands down. Saw Bohemiam Rhapsody movie the other day and it gave me goose bumps watching the live aid concert in that. Such a loss. He died shortly after I was born but I grew up listening to Freddie mercury.

Would also love to have seen Oasis. But not to the same extent

Deadringer · 14/02/2019 19:33

I saw Bowie twice and Queen. I wish I had seen George Michael. My sister went to live aid and I really really wish I could turn back the clock and go with her.

IAmWonderWoman · 14/02/2019 19:40

Queen and Nirvana.

I saw Stevie Wonder when he headlined Glastonbury, he was brilliant.

JustDanceAddict · 14/02/2019 19:55

cstaff · 14/02/2019 20:57

I saw Queen in 1986 in Slane, Ireland - stunning. Would love to do that all over again. Sorry folks but after all your posts about Queen I had to get that in there Grin

mrcharlie · 14/02/2019 20:59

Joe Cocker
Queen
Abba

ForalltheSaints · 14/02/2019 21:01

REM
Pink Floyd with Roger Waters

Figgygal · 14/02/2019 21:06

Another vote for queen

I've been lucky enough to see some of the big acts I love (prince, Elton John, Billy Joel, Foos, the killers, snow patrol, stereophonics).

I think I'd have loved to have seen moatloaf

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 14/02/2019 21:20

Like everyone else I wish I’d seen Queen with Freddie. Also wish I’d seen Marillion with Fish.

I was too young to have seen Led Zeppelin and Gabriel era Genesis, so have had to make do with solo Robert Plant, Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel.

I have seen Rush several times and am absolutely gutted that I won’t see them again.

Klopptimist · 14/02/2019 21:37

WiseUp I've been lucky enough to see Rush twice. Who says men can't multi-task!

I would have loved to see Joy Division live, also Pink Floyd with Syd Barratt.

NCjustforthisthread · 14/02/2019 21:41

Whitney Houston.

IndieTara · 14/02/2019 22:03

ELO and Fleetwood Mac

DulciUke · 14/02/2019 22:57

Beatles (early days before all of the hysterical screaming)--or the rooftop
Led Zeppelin
Paul McCartney when he could still sing
Janis Joplin
Santana
Fleetwood Mac
Eagles
Queen (original group, of course)
Elvis (1950s)
Rolling Stones in the 1970s
St. Paul and the Broken Bones
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Mouikey · 14/02/2019 23:14

Would love to see (in my dreams!):
Nirvana
Elvis
Johnny Cash
Queen
Bros (when they were young, with Craig!!!) - swoooooooon (I’d even wear the Grohlsh bottle tops!)

Want to see (or again):
Foo’s (always) - booked!
Muse (Drone ‘s was outstanding at the O2) - booked!
Noel Gallagher HFB
Rival Sons
Eric Clapton

Wouldn’t bother with:
RHCP - saw them at Hyde Park, probably it was the wind/acoustics but it was terrible. Really disappointed.

Yes! A Led Zeppelin concert would be an absolute dream come true. I’m also too young to have seen them in their heyday.

I have seen Rush several times and am absolutely gutted that I won’t see them again.

Oh God, don’t I know it. I’ve seen Rush six or seven times. Last time was with my husband and sons in 2015, what wound up being Rush’s final tour, when it was rumored that it would be their last. We were devastated when a few months later they announced they’d never tour again. We suspected it was coming, but still . . .

What talent. Three guys on stage making all that music. We’ll never see anyone like them again.

ALongHardWinter

Aaah, I’m sorry you missed Duran Duran in 1982! They still tour occasionally, though, so maybe you can catch them the next time around. I’ve seen them four times since 1984, and the last time was in April 2016 when Chic opened for them. It was a fantastic concert. Unbelievable. And Simon's still awesome Blush

My husband, who was not a fan, surprised me on Easter Sunday with the tickets and went with me. And even he was impressed. His (paraphrased) words were, “That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, they’re pretty good. That bassist is really talented.” This coming from a complete Rush fan.

ALongHardWinter

Just thought of another one. Madness!

My sister had a crush on the guy who played “Brother” in the “Our House” video. I think his name was Mark Bedford.

Greenglassteacup · 15/02/2019 06:22

The way some posters are just listing all of the live bands they’ve seen!! Read the opening post!
