If you had to choose would you prefer a Corbyn Government/soft or no Brexit or a Hard Brexit with Tories staying in power?

If the choice was between a hard Brexit (but the Tories staying in power) or soft/no Brexit and the Tory vote collapsing and Corbyn getting into power, which do you think would be more damaging to the UK and to you on a personal level?

Very well said @wafflyversatile, couldn’t agree more. Tory policies have literally been killing people, yet Corbyn is the scary one. Heaven forbid we have a PM looking out for the vulnerable.

Andcake · 28/01/2019 17:54

whatever govt would stop brexit - a any party as long as its NOT TORY voter and would even consider a tory vote if it would stop brexit - which would never be an option

Gran22 · 28/01/2019 17:56

I live in a staunchly Labour area where only one MP in the whole county isn't Labour (he was, but is now an independent). In said area the vote was Leave. So we either stick with the Tories (highly unpopular) and leave one way or another, or vote for a Labour government and get Corbyn (also unpopular) and stay in Europe. What a mess.

OftenHangry · 28/01/2019 18:00

Long term labour members all around me are cancelling their memberships. That tells me a lot about the state of labour.

Bluelady · 28/01/2019 18:27

A general election now would be a farce. Apparently over 80% of Labour voters are remainers yet party policy is leave. How the fuck does that work? If I had to vote tomorrow it would be Green.

GirlsBlouse17 · 28/01/2019 18:43

My suggestion would be for everyone to vote Lib dems if a general election came up. They would be the best chance of getting article 50 revoked/second referendum . People need to believe there is an alternative to just the usual two parties and take a chance and vote for Lib dems.

noodlenosefraggle · 28/01/2019 18:44

IM not sure how much longer people can get away with the old 'Right wing media brainwashing people into hating Corbyn' in these days of Social Media. It really irritates me that Corbynites think that everyone who doesn't agree with them must be too stupid to know what's really happening. As if the Right Wing Media hasn't been used as an excuse for decades, when they actually had much more power than they do now. When the Labour Party stops threatening elected MP's with deselection if they arent evangelical enough, stop threatening disciplinary action against MP's for pointing out they are being subjected to anti semitic and mysogynistic abuse by Labour supporters, come up with a coherent Brexit policy that makes actual sense, stop appointing people who verbally abuse women to advisory roles and start behaving like a decent viable opposition party, they may have a chance of doing something about the NHS and austerity because they will be electable. Shouting from the sidelines when you have no chance of getting any power achieves nothing.

Dotty1970 · 28/01/2019 18:46

Definitely 100% Corbyn and NO brexit

Random18 · 28/01/2019 18:46

Corbyn Govt if it meant no Brexit.
He would be PM for max 5 years
Brexit is for life

Whisky2014 · 28/01/2019 18:47

Fuck corbyn

Well if Corbyn had a majority the economic consequences would be far worse than any brexit.

blueangel1 · 28/01/2019 18:49

Corbyn and no Brexit please.

therewillbetime · 28/01/2019 18:54

Absolutely anything except Corbyn. The Tories must thank god that he is the opposition’s ‘leader’.

Madbengalmum · 28/01/2019 18:54

Corbyn would completely fuck thngs up for years. So no Corbyn under any circumstances, and no brexit.

Dotty1970 · 28/01/2019 18:55

How can people say corbyn would ruin Britain and would be a disaster... Have you not read his policies and what he stands for?
You say these things but don't see what the absolute evil wa*#er tories have done/doing to our country, our children, our poor and less fortunate, our homeless, our NHS and our benefits etc etc etc but hey ho the food banks are quite good!

therewillbetime · 28/01/2019 18:55

Blue lady....labour policy is leave because Corbyn is a leaver.

Dotty1970 · 28/01/2019 18:56

Corbyn would fuck things up for years.... Your fucking stupid.... The tories are doing that... Are you blind

therewillbetime · 28/01/2019 18:56

Dotty1970

Is that a serious question? If so, I am honestly astonished.

Dotty1970 · 28/01/2019 18:58

What?

Bombardier25966 · 28/01/2019 18:58

It's a Labour government, not a Corbyn one.

Anyone that votes for the Tories is voting for ever increasing poverty and homelessness. Shameful.

Madbengalmum · 28/01/2019 19:01

Dotty, not read any background on Corbyn then!

Ohallright · 28/01/2019 19:03

The trouble with Corbyn is that whatever he says, what he does has a huge stink of misogyny. The uk political system works best with a strong opposition- Corbyn hasn’t provided it. Momentum, with whom Corbyn is in bed, are scary.
