What you’ve had for Saturday night dinner

Just got that really. Am doing the January thing if trying to eat a little healthier but usually have a takeaway on a Saturday- so compromise is making a home made curry that still involves butter and cream, but is a better choice than full takeaway with all the bells and whistles

Nachos with cheese, guacamole, chillis and sour cream.

Namechange170518 · 26/01/2019 20:09

Currently reheating a portion of quorn and veg chilli I made in the slow cooker on Thursday, having with doritos and grated cheese, could have had avocado, but forgot to defrost one and haven't been able to go shopping for fresh.

Snowydaysaregreat · 26/01/2019 20:10

Was gonna be roast lamb.. Put lamb in and forgot. Over cooked...
So take away Indian.

Lindy2 · 26/01/2019 20:10

Roast chicken, french bread, coleslaw and salad. Pudding was grapes and strawberries. It was nice.
We are trying to cut back on the number of take aways we have and be a bit healthier.

CanIGoToBedNow · 26/01/2019 20:23

What we call spiky chicken

It’s chicken breasts coated in Waitrose piri piri rub and vegetable oil and baked for 25 minutes.

I serve with boiled rice, tatziki and sliced avocado

I drizzle some of the juices over the rice and it’s 😋👍🏻

Chickychoccyegg · 26/01/2019 20:23

Corneliawildthing · 26/01/2019 20:23

A really lovely creamy fish pie with smoked haddock and prawns from a Mumsnet recipe Grin

jessstan2 · 26/01/2019 20:25

Peri peri chicken, rice and salad. It was delivered from a local shop. Enormous amounts of food, too much really for two of us but good value for money.

IShitGlitter · 26/01/2019 20:25

Veggie and cheese quesadillas, chips & salad, with salsa and guacamole. I fancy a glass of wine but I'm pregnant so will have to make do with champagne truffles Smile

PlainVanilla · 26/01/2019 20:32

Supper, nothing.

Ragwort · 26/01/2019 20:32

Nothing Grin, genuinely not hungry & as I am following the Low Carb diet I really only want to eat when I am hungry. I did have a big, late lunch at around 3 but it has made me realise that I tend to eat three meals a day out of habit or just because I am feeding the family. I didn’t have breakfast either.

It does make Sat night rather boring as DH tucks into a nice roast chicken meal with a couple of glasses of wine.

PerfectlyPetty · 26/01/2019 20:34
