Inspired by another thread on here, AIBU to have a wish list if clothes I wish existed?

I want...
Tights that don't fall down/ cut me in half/ ladder / go wobbly.
Jeans with proper pockets, enough to fit a mobile phone without it peeking over the top.
Comfortable bras that don't cost a fortune.
Pants that match the above bras that aren't made of polyester.

What else would you add?

Round or just off pointy shoes. I stand up a lot. I can't do pointy shoes anymore and my wonderful round toed t bars have died.

Wrap dresses that account for boobs and being worn for work.

Pjs that are long enough.

All shoes to be as comfy as clarks' heels.

Sleeves that reach my wrists. I'm 5'8, so hardly massive.

Slip.nighties that cover my bum.

PathOfLeastResitance · 19/01/2019 23:00

@daysofcurlyspencer
Shoe Embassy have boots like you want!

londonginge · 19/01/2019 23:20

I'd highly recommend heist tights, they NEVER need pulling up or rearranging. Often have discount codes for new users.

LoniceraJaponica · 20/01/2019 00:02

@TheSmallClangerWhistlesAgain I have the same issue with slip on shoes. I love loafers, but have narrow heels so most loafers are like flipflops on me. I finally found a pair in Pavers.

Re the white Tshirt problem. I have a brilliant one from Next men's department. It was £6. I find that men's jumpers from M and S are plain, made from natural materials and have sleevs that are long enough for me.

GinZing · 20/01/2019 00:22

Yes yes yes to natural fabrics.

And how about waterproof (not showerproof) coats that don’t age you twenty years.

HenweeArcher · 20/01/2019 05:30

Pyjama bottoms that don’t slip upwards from my hips to my waist in the night and seem to get all twisted up so I end up with seams all in my lady bits. Thankfully I am usually ridiculously hot at night so it’s not that long before they are cast off.

Moulded or very lightly padded non-wired bras in small back/big cup sizes with nursing clips that don’t cost a fortune. I hate underwire and why does breastfeeding mean my tits have to look frumpy?

Decent sports bras (bra sized, come in my size and are high impact) with nursing clips so that if I have to dash out of the gym to the crèche or do a feed mid-run I don’t have to completely undo my bra, pull it up and expose myself entirely.

HenweeArcher · 20/01/2019 05:31

Also could we make fashionable waterproof trousers a thing? Why should they be the reserve of hikers? I’d like to go about my day to day business without soggy jeans!

Wincarnis · 20/01/2019 07:31

Plain nightwear...no frills or slogans or cute kittens

natural fibres

Rubusfruticosus · 20/01/2019 07:40

Longer sleeves and longer body length on tops. I buy tops that are meant to be long sleeved and they aren't long enough. I'm average height with proportional arm and body length.

HRHeadache · 20/01/2019 08:45

Dresses with pockets (more please)

SUMMER DRESSES WITH SLEEVES ffs! Why do 95% of summer dresses have no sleeves? Not many people have fabulously toned arms. My are huge great wobbling slabs of lard and I want to cover them up. However I love dresses.

I’ll say it again SUMMER DRESSES WITH SLEEVES (and not those cap feckin’ abominations).

Flaskfan · 20/01/2019 08:58

Just sleeves on dresses full.stop. took me ages this winter to.find a dress with sleeves. I hate wearing a cardi or jacket over a dress-I want to show the dress.

Kokapetl · 20/01/2019 09:00

Ballet pumps that cover my toes. I don't know whether I just have very long toes but it just looks odd being able to see the start of my toes!

Agree with cotton (mostly cotton at least!) underwear sets but they'd need to include larger cup sizes. M&S had some reasonable ones but they stopped at a DD.

Also agree with nice, plain cotton T-shirts, in good colours, that actually fit. Most of the ones I try on seem to have odd things going on at the shoulders. Seasalt aren't too bad but they mostly do stripes and patterns.

I have actually found jeans that fit me well (and hope they don't stop selling them!). The pockets are a bit small but I expect I could extend them if I really wanted to!

Polkapjs · 20/01/2019 09:25

Longer tops in thicker fabric which don’t cling to my belly please

LakieLady · 20/01/2019 09:44

Pants that are in decent cotton with gussets in the right place.

This made me chuckle. I sometimes wonder if my fanjo is entirely normal, because in a lot of knickers, the gusset is nearer my arse than my vadge.

I would love to find trousers and jeans that accomodate my thunder thighs without being enormous round the bum and waist, and PJs where you can buy bottoms and tops in different sizes, without paying through the nose for the privilege.

I'm top heavy, so have the option of a top that is uncomfortably tight or bottoms that fall down. Sometimes I rethread trouser elastic before I wear the damn things. I have seriously considered doing my own mix and match in shops, and leaving some poor sod with size 20 trousers and a size 16 top.

I need to find a fat-arsed, small-boobed friend to do swapsies with.

coshol · 20/01/2019 09:52

More V necks and square necks.
Boobage and round necks don’t work.

LakieLady · 20/01/2019 09:53

And how about waterproof (not showerproof) coats that don’t age you twenty years.

I've got one of these.

www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk/waterproof-jackets-raincoats/all-rain/waterproof-breathable-extra-long-seafolly-jacket_redcurrant.htm

They're brilliantly waterproof, keep the wind out and it's longer than it looks on the lanky model. I'm 5'6" and 32" inside leg, and it comes to well below the knee on me.

Not smart or formal though, and possibly a bit pricey, but if you register the purchase online it's guaranteed for life.

StartedEarly · 20/01/2019 09:55

I bought a winter dress this year. I haven't worn a dress in winter for 25 years because of the evil of tights. I hoped that tights had evolved and improved since I last bought some. They haven't. Still fall down at the same time as cutting me in half at the waist.

Marian Keyes on dresses with pockets.

Imaystillbedrunk · 20/01/2019 10:00

Tall clothes for work that aren't black polyester trousers but are fashionable, reasonable cost and in a high street shop.

AndromedaPerseus · 20/01/2019 10:30

Whenever I go to the Far East probably once every 5 years I stock up on great wireless but structured bras which are lightly padded but without wads of foam, provide proper support, pretty and cost about £5 each. I’d like these to be available in UK

BarbaraofSevillle · 20/01/2019 11:00

Clothes that are shaped to fit women, with breasts, waists and hips.

Sizing consistency and narrower gaps. I'm sick of finding that a 12 is too small but I look like the 'after' picture in a weight loss advert in a 14 Hmm.

StartedEarly · 20/01/2019 11:06

AndromedaPerseus They sound perfect, is there no one that sells them online?

SheWoreBlueVelvet · 20/01/2019 11:21

Started I picked up structured, non wired bras in Sainsbury's. They have regular priced ones all the time but obvviously cheap as chips if you get your size in a sale. Mine were reduced to a £5. I liked the colours - olive green and grey. I wear lots of green.

I want flat suede low calf length boots. They go with everything I wear - dresses, skirts over jeans, look smart and casual. None on the high street. La reroute had them but only in a size 4.
But there are 20 million identical black boots with heels in the shops. Why don’t places sell ...a variety of styles?

LustyBusty · 20/01/2019 11:47

Try being tall, fat and with disproportionately large boobs... Tall ranges don't go big enough, booby ranges aren't long enough and plus sized trouser are usually a 30 inch leg (not a good look when you need a 34!)
I'd like a pair of thicker-than-tissue-paper, 34 inch inside leg, size 20 trousers in black, navy, grey and dark denim and a shirt that will fit 38KK boobs but a size 18 waist and is at least 25 inches from the neck to the hem. With sleeves. Don't want much do I? Wink

Omzlas · 20/01/2019 12:19

There should be a law that ALL pyjama bottoms have pockets - an actual damn law. I have stuff I want to carry around

SusanneLinder · 20/01/2019 12:20

Reasonably priced boots for chunkier calfs.
Flat/midheel shoes with decent soles that don't age you 20 years, or those stupid dolly shoes that make your toes like a vagina. And stay on your feet.
Above knee skirts that cover your arse.
Longer tops.
Pretty knickers that aren't thongs ( they do exist, but not enough).
Pretty summer clothes that are cool, loose, not skin tight and don't have fucking flowers on them!
And don't get me started on linen/cotton trousers that are see through or fabric takes you 3 hrs to fuckin iron....Angry
