Need some inspiration on places to go this summer. Where are you planning on going this year? Just thinking about the sun makes me happy in this horrid cold weather Grin

Croatia! Cheap flights to Zadar, resort booked (thinking 4star apartments apartments/lodges and big pool/restaurant complex with a beach!) 2 weeks for two adults two DCs. £1800. Can’t wait.

Mummyshark2019 · 18/01/2019 21:41

Ooh! Croatia sounds awesome! A few of my friends have been and say it is stunning. Will deffo look into it. That's a good price for the whole family and two weeks!

We also looked at the Algarve. Looks stunning but found a better deal. I love holiday planning.

Titsywoo · 18/01/2019 21:44

We don't go abroad often - too bloody expensive. This year we are doing a festival (family friendly one) and Center Parcs for a week (the kids love it and we pay for their friends to come with us). The kids are much happier with friends now they are teens so we always bring them along. Makes it much more fun (our two just fight if they have to hang out with each other).

afrikat · 18/01/2019 21:46

France. Big house for a week with friends then a week at Eurocamp

ThePinkOcelot · 18/01/2019 21:46

Going to Crete for 2 weeks end of July.

Mummyshark2019 · 18/01/2019 21:47

If we don't go abroad this year we will definitely look into center parcs. The activities look great!

A week at centre Parcs in the summer is £1778 for two adults 4 kids (if you take friends too), that’s really expensive! I didn’t realise!

notacooldad · 18/01/2019 21:51

Slovakia ( again)
Poland(again!!!)
Australia ( AGAIN)
Portugal. (Yeah age )
Our holidays are predictable!

Whobloodyknows · 18/01/2019 21:51

Been to both Croatia and the algarve - Croatia hands down! Culture and stunning islands - brilliant! We are going to Rhodes this year with a 2 year old, all inclusive so at least unlimited ice cream will keep him happy Grin

Rocketpants50 · 18/01/2019 21:52

France, west coast glamping then Dordogne. Nice easy holiday, children can run wild, pool, beach, river. Chuck everyone and everything in car and go (fingers crossed that the ports wont be chocker with Brexit problems!)

missyB1 · 18/01/2019 21:53

Booked a cottage in Dorset in August. Don’t want to go abroad because I miss the dog too much, can’t wait to take her in her holidays!

bridgetosomewhere · 18/01/2019 21:53

France! 1 week in a gite with a pool near the coast and 1 week near Paris

Me, dh, dm and her husband, 2 dc and ddog
Can't wait!

Squirrelblanket · 18/01/2019 21:54

Doesn't Centre Parcs cost about the same as to go abroad? I know where I'd rather be..

Speaking of which I'm going to Greece. Grin

swimmerforlife · 18/01/2019 21:55

New Zealand, but that's where I am from. Only paying for flights as we can stay with family / friends.

Have not been back in nearly two years and I am literally counting down the days to see my friends and family.

Aragog · 18/01/2019 21:55

Hoping to go to Japan in the summer, though not yet booked anything.

We are going to Singapore in the Easter holidays, with a couple of nights stopover in Abu Dhabi

Eifla · 18/01/2019 21:56

Johannesburg in May.
Disneyland Paris in October.
Amsterdam in December.

No where actually in summer! Although might get a UK break or long weekend somewhere.

Mummyshark2019 · 18/01/2019 21:57

Ah these holidays sound fab! Getting excited now. Wow, Center Parcs is expensive! Think it needs to be done at least once though. Never been...

Safari in Tanzania!

Any advice on where to go in April?

Will it be best to stay put because of Brexit? Was thinking Channel Islands...

Anjelika · 18/01/2019 21:57

LittleCaf please can you link to where you're going in Croatia or give me the name? Off to Crete this year but fancy going to Croatia the year after and that sounds great value!

carrie74 · 18/01/2019 21:58

Italy, 1 week with a group of friends in Tuscany, bookended by a few days in Naples/Pompeii/Sorrento area and then Rome.

Mummyshark2019 · 18/01/2019 21:59
