To wonder who anyone can look themselves in the mirror, if they still support the EU, after Juncker's appalling behaviour recently?

Whatever you think of Theresa May, she was handed a poison chalice after that clown David Cameron jumped ship when the LEAVE vote won the EU referendum, and she is trying to please everyone (failing a bit obviously!) But much of the shitstorm of Brexit is not her fault!

Nevertheless, the president of the EU -Jean Claude Juncker - sees fit not only to slag her off behind her back, calling her 'nebulous,' but he also claimed she tried to kiss him afterwards.

As if that wasn't enough, he was seen ruffling an EU official's hair in a condescending 'aren't you a cutie'manner! A woman obviously. He would never have done it to a man!

What a misogynistic, repugnant creep he is. And just pretty much represents the EU. Controlling, manipulative, misogynistic, rude, insulting, and dismissive.

Anyone who still supports the EU now, should hang their head in shame. To support an organisation with someone like that at the helm needs to sort themselves and their priorities out, and wake up to what the EU really is. A misogynistic, obnoxious, controlling, rich boys club, who are sore and wounded that the UK are taking their £350 million a week away from them, not singing to their tune, and not taking things lying down.

Dreadful man. Dreadful organisation.

The sooner we are out of the European Union, the better! No deal will suit me just fine. And I know plenty more who think the same.

OP posts:

No deal will be a disaster.

I think Junker is a dick but the EU is not Junker. I don’t like May but I’m not about to declare my house an independent state.

AutumnLeavesSeptember · 15/12/2018 16:13

You lost me when you equated one man with a bloc of 27 nations Confused

ilovesooty · 15/12/2018 16:13

He called the policies nebulous and unclear as I understand.

None of the EU officials caused any of this crap so they're under no obligation to accommodate our requests.

No problem with any mirrors thank you.

That's like saying everyone in the EU should hang us out to dry because Nigel Farrage is a cockwomble.

cardibach · 15/12/2018 16:15

I th8nk ‘nebulous’ was more a description of her position on Brexit (pretty fairly) not a character assassination. He hasn’t behaved appallingly, he’s been doing his job - looking out for the best interests of EU members. I don’t see how that (or anything else the EU is up to) is mysoginistic. Tory MPs on the other hand....

Rumplestrumpet · 15/12/2018 16:16

He's not the president of the EU. And I can't say I consider the EU "Controlling, manipulative, misogynistic, rude, insulting, and dismissive". Dull as dishwater and bureaucratic more like.

ForalltheSaints · 15/12/2018 16:16

I do not like his behaviour, nor do I agree with some other people within the EU, but I can happily look in the mirror and defend my wish that we had voted remain.

Worth considering that the story may not have been completely told, given that the Evening Standard is edited by Gideon Osbourne, who might now be PM had we voted Remain.

TheVanguardSix · 15/12/2018 16:17

Oy veh!

Have another Xmas Biscuit

JacquesHammer · 15/12/2018 16:18

You lost me when you decided the behaviour of one man could be extrapolated out.

What nonsense.

BeanTownNancy · 15/12/2018 16:19

"he would never have done it to a man"

He would, and he has:

DadDadDad · 15/12/2018 16:19

Same way I can also support the institution of UK Parliamentary democracy even when the current government seems to failing to make it work in a way that inspires any level of confidence.

AnnaMagnani · 15/12/2018 16:20

Well nebulous is a fair description of her policies so far.

And it's not as if we have to look far for a misogynistic Tory either. Theresa gave 2 back the Tory whip who were suspended for sexual misconduct, just so they could prop her up in her leadership vote so she doesn't have the moral high ground here either.

Juncker is doing his job, representing the 27 countries of the EU. He seems to be doing it very well. If we'd chosen to stay, he'd be representing us too and on the face of it, doing a better job than the lot we have who said Leave would be a doddle.

JacquesHammer · 15/12/2018 16:21

You know when you really hope someone who has voted Leave doesn’t fulfil the “no brain” stereotype and then posters pop up and just hit it out of the park Grin

superstarburst · 15/12/2018 16:22

What an utterly bizarre comment OP. YANBU. The EU and Juncker are two separate things for starters.
Do I want to be part of a union of countries we entered into voluntarily and which serves us well? Yes.
Can I look myself in the mirror? yes thanks.

Gilead · 15/12/2018 16:23

Oh good grief...

Lockheart · 15/12/2018 16:24

You should hang your head in shame for not knowing by now that the £350 million a week figure was completely made up and highly innaccurate, as has been widely admitted by even the most ardent Brexiteers.

Fairyliz · 15/12/2018 16:24

Good post op. Theresa May clearly thought he called her nebulous and she was there, but it appear MN knows better. I also noticed the patronising tap on the arm he gave her and how he kept trying to kiss all the blond females in the room.

What a twat and I suspect that he does represent the exact type of man running the EU.

HollowTalk · 15/12/2018 16:25

She's bloody lucky "nebulous" is all he said.

TheVanguardSix · 15/12/2018 16:25

A misogynistic, obnoxious, controlling, rich boys club

Pretty much sums up Tory MPs. I bet Juncker never stuck his dick in a dead or live pig’s mouth and did the deed.
