For fun
Who sleeps closest to the door if you're in a relationship?

OP posts:
e1y1 · 17/11/2018 21:24

DH - always has.

aibutohavethisusername · 17/11/2018 21:24

Right side, closest to door.

MissingPanda · 17/11/2018 21:25

All of it. I'm single Grin

E20mom · 17/11/2018 21:26

I sleep closest to the door but when I'm pregnant I sleep on the other side.

Lazybonita · 17/11/2018 21:27

The one nearest to the loo, I always need a wee in the night

MajesticWhine · 17/11/2018 21:27

Left side for me and DH closest to the door.

naicepineapple · 17/11/2018 21:27

Left and I'm a bit closer to the door

CoffeeMad18 · 17/11/2018 21:28

Closest to the loo for me. DH closest to the door.

BillThePony · 17/11/2018 21:28

Always the left, anywhere we stay I always take the left side. Have no idea why.

Cherulewis · 17/11/2018 21:28

At home Dh is closest to the door as it makes me closest to the radiator. So as you look at the bed I am on the right.

In hotels, I sleep whichever side is nearest the children. We swap and change as necessary.

Bambamber · 17/11/2018 21:30

I always sleep on the left, which always seems furthest from the door no matter where we stay

2018ismyyear2018 · 17/11/2018 21:30

On the edge of the right side. DD nearly 2 takes up the rest of the king size bed. If I get too close unless she wants a cuddle she says Go away Mummy.... Hmm

canihaveanap · 17/11/2018 21:31

I like to be furthest from the door and dh always by the door. No reason but wondering if it's a primal man protector thing

OP posts:
Believeitornot · 17/11/2018 21:32

I sleep closest to the door - always have done

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 17/11/2018 21:32

I sleep on the left, regardless of where the door is.

TokyoSushi · 17/11/2018 21:34

I always have DH to my left, the same when walking too! At the moment he's closest to the door but when we ever bloody move, I will be

Escolar · 17/11/2018 21:35

DH is closest to the door. I'm sure it's not a male protector thing though! We used to swap sides at random but over the years have settled into him left, me right.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 17/11/2018 21:36

Funnily enough I tend to be very set in my ways but this is one of those things I don't mind-
In our room I am closest to door (left side) but actually like being closest to window (in our case right side).
In a hotel I'd pick the window side but we tend to judge on a case by case basis!! Grin

MrsStrowman · 17/11/2018 21:37

Always on the right and closest to the door, unless like tonight DH isn't here then starfish bang in the middle!

StoneofDestiny · 17/11/2018 21:38

With DH on my left regardless of where the door is.

redsummershoes · 17/11/2018 21:39

right side
in this bedroom it's furthest from the door.

youknowyourself · 17/11/2018 21:39

I used to always sleep furthest away from the door.
Now I've had DS I'm closest to the door as I do the nighttime feeds etc.
I prefer it the other way tbh because if a dinosaur came in at night to get us I would be alerted by my husband's screams.

CassandraCross · 17/11/2018 21:39

I'm closest to the door the reason being I sleep very deeply, you wouldn't believe some of the stuff I've slept through, so theory is DH will hear and wake and be primed and ready for action if need be and I will snooze on obliviousGrin.

Llanali · 17/11/2018 21:40

Hmm I think we alternate. I used to be on the right, away from the door, but then since “morning” sickness got me in the middle of the night several times I’m closest to the door.....

WallisFrizz · 17/11/2018 21:42

I sleep on the left, closest to the door. DH likes it this way as the children get to me first Hmm.

When we are away without the children I like to sleep on the other side.
