I eat awfully lately , little variety , too much beige and an inability to stop at a couple of biscuits. I’m trying to get more variety again as I’m stuck in a rut so please inspire me with what you have eaten today or what you will eat for those that eat dinner/tea later in the evening.
Thanks Grin

Not so good today for me.
B - 5 lemon drizzle biscuits
L - quorn chicken nuggets
D - lentil pasta with a homemade tomato sauce and cheese
Snacks - pineapple, apple and a Freddo

babbscrabbs · 04/10/2018 18:37

Two things strike me on this thread:

Loads of people skipping meals / only eating one real meal a day

Loads of people hardly eating any veg

Kind of makes me feel better as I usually berate myself for not eating enough veggies.

SeagIass · 04/10/2018 18:40

Green smoothie
Leftover BBQ jackfruit and peppers on a baked spud with a melted violife slice
Almond and raisin granola with almond yoghurt
Maccies fries Shock
Leftover lentil and mushroom bolognese with brown rice pasta

Hoping I’ve got a vegan chocolate bar knocking about in the cupboard somewhere. One of those days.

PiperPublickOccurrences · 04/10/2018 18:40

Today I've eaten:

2 slices of toast, punnet of mushrooms (fried in a little oil) for lunch

Large chocolate chip cookie for snack

Dinner - breaded chicken steak and salad.

I'm not a fruit fan but have no issue loading up on vegetables and salad. I never have breakfast so don't really count that as skipping a meal.

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/10/2018 19:04

babbs I usually skip lunch, because if I eat lunch I don't want dinner. I shouldn't really snack either, because if I snack I don't want dinner. There was a lot of veg in my chow mein.

PlatypusPie · 04/10/2018 19:05

Had very random eating day thus far. Tea at various points, toast and marmalade at about 11.30, plums, orange and a peach in the afternoon, packet Pom bears at about 5pm, glass of wine now, DH cooking prawn and veggies stir fry thing atm and there had better be plenty of , it including my favourite veg, chard.

QuantumGroan · 04/10/2018 19:25

Lunch - Ribeye with a roll and dijonaise
Dinner Huevos rotos with black pudding and potatoes and some pointed cabbage. And lots of red wine.

Lookingforadvice123 · 04/10/2018 19:28

Oh my god this thread puts me to shame! I eat so much.

Overnight oats with Skyr yog and mixed berries (40g porridge oats)
Natural valley granola bar
Salad with cooked chicken, microwave Tilda brown basmati rice, walkers baked crisps, mini king prawn and coconut dip snack pack (Tesco)
Mini cheddars
Snacked on half a leftover sausage from DS' tea
Two sausages, baked sweet potato stuffed with leeks and Philadelphia, yoghurt

Honeypickle · 04/10/2018 19:42

Am assuming all the posters around 5pm saying what they’ve already had for dinner aren’t in the UK?!
Fascinating thread though. Feel very unhealthy in comparison - today breakfast was a kale and blueberry juice, lunch a cheese and salad wrap and a piece of toast. Snacked on DCs’ leftovers and dinner will be baked fish and risotto. Have had 2 cups of tea and 2 diet cokes. Am doing sober October though.

QuantumGroan · 04/10/2018 19:42

I like to eat two large meals a day - I don't feel like snacking, other people like to eat 6 small meals a day and I feel you should do what suits you - I don't need to have breakfast as most days I'm not hungry in the morning and if I am I eat but I eat so much that I don't need lunch because I'm not hungry!

PoxAlert · 04/10/2018 19:45

I've got a stone and a half left to get off to teach my 5 stone weight loss goal.

Which I've done so far with slimming world. Certainly the best "diet" I've tried.

So for today I've had a hifi (slimming world thing) bar with a coffee. Then some strawberries, raspberries and apple with mango flavoured quark.

Lunch was a crisp bread with ham and cottage cheese and then some BBQ chicken with salad.

Snacked on some candy floss flavoured grapes.

Dinner I had a roast. Lots of veg and chicken and just 1 Yorkshire.

Will be having a tea and some chocolate in a bit.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 04/10/2018 20:20

B porridge with honey, roasted hazlenuts, blueberries, milky coffee

L McDonald's fillet o fish meal with a coffee

D salmon, Noddles and stir fried veg

Cup of tea, 2 chocolate hobnobs, 2 teaspoons of Nutella Blush

PlatypusPie · 04/10/2018 20:47

I think it is the change in the seasons, Jellyonawonkyplate - I think I want something substantial, then don’t. All my inner signals are off !

ScabbyHorse · 04/10/2018 20:48

Berries yogurt and granola

Quorn burger coleslaw and salad

Spag Bol and a glass of red wine

3 party rings

PlatypusPie · 04/10/2018 20:49

Also, re my previous post but one - stir fry was tasty but my beloved chard didn’t feature . ‘ I bought some because you like it ‘ . It’s not a decorative feature - a pan needs to be involved !

Twuntsrule · 04/10/2018 21:09

SapphireSeptember · 04/10/2018 23:31
