I eat awfully lately , little variety , too much beige and an inability to stop at a couple of biscuits. I’m trying to get more variety again as I’m stuck in a rut so please inspire me with what you have eaten today or what you will eat for those that eat dinner/tea later in the evening.
Thanks Grin

StarfishSandwich · 02/10/2018 19:23

Breakfast - 2 slices of wholemeal bread, half an avocado and 2 scrambled eggs with a black coffee as we’ve run out of soya and oat milk!

Lunch - Leftover lentil pasta, tomato sauce with veg and feta. Mrs Crimbles macaroons x 2 and a Pepsi Max.

Dinner will be - Cottage pie (no milk or butter in the mash though 😩) with some green veg. Dessert will likely be a banana unless I succumb to the Mrs Crimbles!

StarfishSandwich · 02/10/2018 19:24

Breakfast: two weetabix and a banana

Lunch: leftover pasta with broccoli

Snack: entire large bag of doritos

Dinner: probably won’t bother, not hungry (see doritos above)

This is not a typical day, I don’t generally binge on crisps.

crosser62 · 02/10/2018 20:04

Crumpets with peanut butter

Mini wholemeal pitta bread with humous and cherry tomatoes

Sunbite crisps

Beans on wholemeal toast.

Just got some Linda McCartney sausage rolls in the oven, giving them a go.

Plant based diet here.

wink1970 · 02/10/2018 20:15

I’m trying to ‘intuition eat’, though this does mean a very stocked fridge.

No breakfast (black coffee, berocca) though I normally eat 2 boiled eggs.

Lunch was homemade veg soup, and a slice of whole grain bread.

Dinner was rare steak, brocolli and tinned tomatoes with chilli flakes and garlic. I love tinned tomatoes, eat them pretty much once a day.

Now drinking red wine and watching a film. I am about to find some cheese to munch, may also have some peanuts.

Between working a 32-hour week and running around after a 5yo and 1yo, I don't really have time to eat as well as I'd like either. Today's menu was:

A small wpiece of brown seedy bread with peanut butter that the baby rejected first thing
A muesli bar and banana for breakfast at my desk
A slice of plain sponge cake (the square loaf-shaped kind)
An omelette sandwich on brown seedy bread for lunch
An apple
Some dark chocolate
Steak, peas and oven chips for dinner
I've also had 2 coffees, a tea, a bottle of beer and a fruit tea. And some fizzy water.

missludgatecircus · 02/10/2018 20:26

I've had

B: raw mange tout & hummus, celery sticks spread wiyh a little natural peanut butter and a skinny latte
L: huge salad with tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, bell pepper, carrot, roast chicken breast and herby dressing, and some nairn cheese oatcakes
D: salmon, lentil and red cabbage tray bake
And probably a pear for dessert.

Fairly typical weekday :) I let my hair down and mouth open on weekends!

hadenough · 02/10/2018 20:30

Breakfast - Nothing (usually I'd have scrambled eggs)

Lunch - Roasted chicken joint with mixed peppers, red onion and green beans + no carb gravy

Dinner - Moussaka

I'm on a low carb diet so have eliminated sugar, bread, pasta, rice etc.

ScienceIsTruth · 02/10/2018 20:32

Today was a good day for me, as I normally just pick on rubbish:

Breakfast was Frosted flakes with a handful of raspberries and strawberries and semi skimmed milk. Cup of tea as well.

Lunch was a cheese topped roll with Bavarian ham and pickle and another cuppa.

Dinner was homemade bacon wrapped turkey meatloaf served with mashed potato and peas and a homemade BBQ style sauce. Then another cuppa.

For a snack I've had a lovely peanut and cacao raw brownie bar from Aldi and a small bag of bacon flavoured Walkers crisps. The thing from Aldi was very nice, without being too sweet.

Seniorschoolmum · 02/10/2018 20:36

Coffee for breakfast. Home made guacamole and toast for lunch and lamb burger in a wholemeal roll and sweet corn, peas & tomatoes for supper. But I’ve got a cold and not v interested in food today. Sad

ScienceIsTruth · 02/10/2018 20:49

I'm now waiting for my sourdough bread to rise, so we've got bread for tomorrow. I try to bake all the bread (etc) we eat.
