To not bother with tomorrow's job interview because I can't even cope not working

Brief history
Well qualified good job
Divorce, during unplanned preg. Now left alone no friends no support.
Disabled dd age 12.
Have had 2 years off work, dd2 is 3.
Applied for competitive but lower level role, was excited by the role and thrilled at the interview!
Its been a shit week back to school, my exH has given me the silent treatment, dd1 isnt coping and still awake (autism) and dd2 has just been sick everywhere.
I've been recently drinking more and am getting depressed at the no interaction/general skivvy mum role.
Really cannot be bothered to go, doesnt seem much point. Just want to crawl into a hole.

I hope it went well! Even if it didn't, you did well to get the interview - and to turn up, especially with everything that you've got going on. As someone who worries a lot, my advice would be to not panic if/when they offer you the job and don't talk yourself out of it - you'll be able to find solutions for the childcare issues, for example. And if it didn't go so well, there will be a next time and another job that's even more exciting and even more suited to you!

I’m so pleased you went! Did you like the sound of the job? I completely get how you were feeling. After just a couple of weeks off, I actually enjoy getting back to the routines of work and school etc, just helps to keep the bad thoughts at bay a bit!!

Well done! Now you know that you can handle interviews. So whatever the outcome, you can do this again. You should be proud of yourself and give yourself a treat this evening whatever the result (perhaps go steady on the old pop mind!!).

Hope you get good news OP. Think of it as a stepping stone if you do get the job to a better role down the line, more suited to your qualifications. Plus it gives you the opportunity to get some adult interaction and some social contacts.

Yes, i liked the sound of it and its quite an autonomous role which id be good at.
If they want me they want me if not will deal with that tomorrow.
