Totally in-appropriate outfits for toddler session

So this afternoon me and dd went to a holiday toddler session just in our village hall where the usual group meets up.

Ok so I get it's hot but today we had women pushing 40 (and I'm one myself) with skimpy cut off jean shorts revealing butt cheeks and chafing between the legs (to the point where 1 little boy said to his mummy "I can see that lady's bottom!!!) and dresses and skirts so short when people were bending over to play they were flashing knickers that were maybe white a long time ago and boobs hanging out of very low vest tops nearly popping out!!!

I had to laugh at one of my friends tho - she just smiled and said "the weather brings them all out" which certainly seemed to be the case today.

No idea why people felt this was appropriate!!!!! Why do they do it????

Gunpowder now i'v put my glasses on I can see that it is. Smug looks and everything Grin

Silvercatowner · 07/08/2018 21:27

I care. I don’t want to see your arse cheeks

Don't look then. Simple, job done.

GunpowderGelatine · 07/08/2018 21:27

Hermione children also need help wiping their buns but adults don't because, this may shock you, but the rules are different for the two. I know, right!

What exactly makes 'low standards' about shorts on women?

Atthebottomofthegarden · 07/08/2018 21:27

Oh for goodness sake OP, they’re hot, they don’t give a shit and things have probably got mysteriously tight in the last couple of years, if they have toddlers!

GunpowderGelatine · 07/08/2018 21:29

5cats Grin this is what they're staring at

Glaciferous · 07/08/2018 21:30

I am nearly fifty and I am wearing short shorts and a strappy top and have been all day. I am bloody hot and I couldn't give a rat's arse what anyone else thinks of what I am wearing.

yorkshireyummymummy · 07/08/2018 21:31

I am beautiful
No matter what they say
Words dont bring me down
I am beautiful
In every single way
Your words can’t brimg me down

So don’t you bring me down today...........

Just listened to this song today . Maybe you should too OP.

Rebecca36 · 07/08/2018 21:31

That's really horrible, I too don't know why people can't dress properly. It's hot but you can still wear something cotton that doesn't show your bits.

NonaGrey · 07/08/2018 21:32

Everyone was commenting on it especially the mother of the child who pointed out he could see someone's bottom

He hasn’t been to a beach or a swimming pool this summer then? If his mother is traumatised by the glimpse of a bum? Hmm

If the play leader of a toddler group really posted that she should be sacked.

Toddler groups should be inclusive, supportive, welcoming spaces for new parents, many of whom are sleep deprived and anxious for one reason or another.

She should be ashamed of herself for such a dreadfully unkind post.

Crazy3 · 07/08/2018 21:33

I think if people are comfortable in what they wear that’s up to them. If they feel what they are wearing is appropriate for the weather then fine. If I was a member of a group where women started telling other women what they should or shouldn’t cover on their bodies in or how they should or shouldn’t dress on public or their company/kids company/husbands friends company I would leave! After I had attended the next meet up in nowt but a teeny bikini. It’s a flippin slippery slope starting to tell women you casually know what to wear in this day and age with the struggles women have all over the world with being told what they can and can’t wear on public. With these rules and sometimes laws being enforced by brutality.

Sparklesocks · 07/08/2018 21:34

Life’s too short, it wasn’t like she had her vulva out..

fruityb · 07/08/2018 21:34

I am sweating my tits off daily - I couldn’t give a flying fart what I or others are wearing: if I could I’d be out there starkers I’m that uncomfortable at the moment.

Of course a kid noticed someone’s bottom - it’s a kid and bottoms are funny. It won’t scar them for life - it’s not like she was twerking in your face.

5cats · 07/08/2018 21:35

Rebecca36 they were dressed properly. Wearing your knickers on your head is not dressing properly.

lifeispeachy · 07/08/2018 21:37

Judgemental people really get my goat!
They are happily playing, making memories with their children on a hot day and they are wearing clothes.
Get over yourself and stop being a drama llama

Lmnopqrstuv · 07/08/2018 21:39

Was this me?!

I went to a group this morning in small jeans shorts Blush I’m 30 and I don’t have any longer ones and also I didn’t think it looked too bad

I didn’t intend to display small milk leak stains on my t shirt though Blush

Bezm · 07/08/2018 21:40

I too don't feel that shorts that show your arse cheeks are appropriate. No matter what your size or age. What if a man was wearing skimpy shorts with his balls hanging out? What would you say then?
Make no mistake, skimpy shorts are not a comfortable option. People don't wear them to keep cool. They wear them to show off their bum. Save them for the beach please.

5cats · 07/08/2018 21:40

Gunpowder I've found the OP's appropriate knickers

Totally in-appropriate outfits for toddler session
Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 07/08/2018 21:40

Haha, love that you’re getting roasted for being “snobby”, op!
The usual nonsense on here, I’m afraid.
Tits and arses on display at a toddlers playgroup is perfectly fine, and only Hyacinth Bucket herself could possibly have an issue with it...

Crunchymum · 07/08/2018 21:41

Where is your screen shot of the play leaders post OP?

chipsandgin · 07/08/2018 21:41

Perhaps this 'facebook post' about inappropriate clothing was referring to your judgey pants?

Bezm · 07/08/2018 21:42

Nonagrey, would yo be fine if someone turned up at your toddler group wearing a sparkly thong and peep hole bra?

MrsChollySawcutt · 07/08/2018 21:43

It's been 32 degrees here today. Frankly the mothers deserve a bloody medal for taking their toddlers to some village hall playgroup which was doubtless hotter than hades today.

Who cares what they wore? How did it affect you other than enabling your bitchy judgy side to have a good outing?

If I'd been attending than group today, I don't think I'd go back. Not because of the mothers in shorts on a hot but because of the whispering bitches clutching their pearls.

fruityb · 07/08/2018 21:43

Balls is not the equivalent of a woman’s arse.

Fact.

SaucyJack · 07/08/2018 21:43

“it wasn’t like she had her vulva out..”

Won’t be long before do.

First it was things over the top of jeans, then it was see-through leggings, now it’s sweaty arse cracks in the middle of Sainsbury’s.

Just wear actual clothes in public. Please.

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 07/08/2018 21:44

Ah, we’ve had the leave them alone, they’re making memories shite, I see.
