Totally in-appropriate outfits for toddler session

So this afternoon me and dd went to a holiday toddler session just in our village hall where the usual group meets up.

Ok so I get it's hot but today we had women pushing 40 (and I'm one myself) with skimpy cut off jean shorts revealing butt cheeks and chafing between the legs (to the point where 1 little boy said to his mummy "I can see that lady's bottom!!!) and dresses and skirts so short when people were bending over to play they were flashing knickers that were maybe white a long time ago and boobs hanging out of very low vest tops nearly popping out!!!

I had to laugh at one of my friends tho - she just smiled and said "the weather brings them all out" which certainly seemed to be the case today.

No idea why people felt this was appropriate!!!!! Why do they do it????

I think you're actually lucky if you've got a nive relaxed toddler group where people feel this relaxed, and everyone isn't made up and buttoned up all the time.

BearCubX · 07/08/2018 21:10

Just seen on the Facebook page the leader has commented on attending sessions in suitable clothing for play sessions!!

No way did that happen.

What the fuck is it to you what someone's wearing? It's a bit of skin, who cares.

thecatsthecats · 07/08/2018 21:10

What's so egregiously wrong with seeing someone's bum cheeks?

They're not a sexual organ. You'd see as much on the beach.

Only losers come whining online about what other people wear. That's not the same as thinking it to yourself - think what you like. It's just pretty pathetic to bring up the other losers people who commented on Facebook because people don't agree with you here.

Pengggwn · 07/08/2018 21:12

Decency - yeah, okay.

Mother40 · 07/08/2018 21:13

I agree with you Op. The hot weather does tend to bring out totally inappropriate outfits. I was thinking the same toda, as I'm sure a lot of people were if they are totally honest. Nothing to do with whether someone is overweight or not, the worst ones I was were very.slim people in extremely brief shorts. I really don't want to see someone underwear when they bend over also!

Emilizz34 · 07/08/2018 21:13

I’ve just seen your update re the FB post about appropriate clothing . Sorry but I don’t believe that happened . ( False) drip feed

RedPanda2 · 07/08/2018 21:15

Yeah that Facebook post didn't happen. I hope you grow up and out of your internalised mysogyny. It might harm your children.

Mimmim112 · 07/08/2018 21:15

Get a life you saddo

RedPanda2 · 07/08/2018 21:15

Mimmim112 nailed it!!

GunpowderGelatine · 07/08/2018 21:17

😱😱😱😱

Has anyone informed the village elders?!

Everyone knows once you become a Mum approaching - 40(!!!) you have to wear clothes like this, even in 30 degree heat

FizzyWizzyFlash · 07/08/2018 21:18

Your post says more about you than it does about the person you are slagging off.

GunpowderGelatine · 07/08/2018 21:19

Everyone was commenting on it especially the mother of the child who pointed out he could see someone's bottom - I'm sorry but that's just not on.

Terrible. Now her son will know that women have bottoms. What is the world coming to?!

5cats · 07/08/2018 21:19

HaHa Gunpowder hats similar to what I imagined he OP to be wearing!

Strongmummy · 07/08/2018 21:19

I can’t find the FB update. Can someone share ? I need a good laugh

Catinthecorner · 07/08/2018 21:19

Maybe avoiding this shit is the silver lining of my infertility?

GunpowderGelatine · 07/08/2018 21:20

Just seen on the Facebook page the leader has commented on attending sessions in suitable clothing for play sessions!! Already 11 parents have congratulated her on the post and I'll be number 12.

Of course this happened

ploppymoodypants · 07/08/2018 21:20

Oh my gosh, I am that age and v pregnant and I have worn my Denim Maternity Shorts and the same flowey vest top nearly everyday since May 😁 I am sooooo hot. I do not care if it’s not appropriate, good luck telling hot sweaty, hormonal pregnant person she needs to change her outfit! Mind you my shorts are tight and definitely do not flash any bum cheek.

Strongmummy · 07/08/2018 21:21

Has the “leader” been watching “handmaid’s tale”?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/08/2018 21:22

I know exactly what you mean OP.

The sights you see when you haven't got a gun . . .

LynetteScavo · 07/08/2018 21:22

I thought you were going to say they'd turn up on bikinis.

Yes, bum cheeks and boobs are out in hot weather. And also inSwimming pools.

I would wear skimpy clothes if I dared.

GunpowderGelatine · 07/08/2018 21:22

5cats that is actually a picture of the OP and her bitchy mate. I got it from the congratulatory Facebook post that didn't happen

BitOutOfPractice · 07/08/2018 21:23

I’m over 50 and wear what the actual fuck I like. In fact if i knew it round get your judgey knickers on such a twist OP I’d wear something on purpose to wind you up.

Older women can wear what the hell they like you know. It’s not 1850

HermioneGoesBackHome · 07/08/2018 21:24

Fun how when it’s grown up women, it’s all ‘they can do what they like’ and ‘how can you be so kudgemnetal’ but when it’s a child, a little girl, flashing their knickers with doing a cartwheel, then it’s seen as inappropriate and girls are asked to wear shorts underneath.

OP this was inappropriate.
People can dress how they want but it not to flash children with your knickers because the sorts are so short, the skirts are so short you can’t look after your dcs wo falling everyone etc...

It’s only in MN that adults are given such a low standard to abide to and children are asked to follow such strict rules......

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 07/08/2018 21:25

You only get one life, do you really want to spend yours thinking and talking like this?

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 07/08/2018 21:26

It’s fucking boiling, I couldn’t give a shit what someone wore to a toddler session as long as they’re comfortable.

Why on earth WOULD you care?!
