I find it strangely eerie in the real world, where no trans person seems to have condemned this behaviour.
I say no trans person, the ones that have are of course the usual 'wrong trans' people.
What we might call 'genuine' trans people.
What the trans 'community' call Truscum.
Because that is the level of support the community offer people with the real dysphoria.
Nice eh?
All the others, the silent ones, the vocal ones calling us scum for caring about womens' and girls' right, the ones who strangely seem to be busy doing other things this week - are not calling this out.
Why not?
Yet, we on mumsnet [according to a previously banned poster ] are shaming JB for their kink and this is no different to racism.
We should all just sigh, and forget all the past instances of male violence that we know about or have witnessed in our lives; and just accept this is one bad apple and 'not all trans'.
As this previously banned poster on Mumsnet would have it - we are all prejudiced against trans people because we take the evidence and use it to form an opinion, that men are a threat to women.
How very dare we!
I am not giving that person any clicks. So not posting their 'article'.
The question here is - why are the community not up in arms that this person has let the side down?
Why are they not contacting the government to protest that they are not all like that?
Why is there no thread on here saying 'Oh my god, please forgive us for not seeing this earlier, yes this is a threat to women and girls'?
You can draw your own conclusions from Jack's distinct lack of concern.
And yes - to those who start with 'trans women are women' - including Penny Mordant on the Self ID consultation - something like 80% of these 'trans women' do not, and never intend to, give up their cocks.
Weird huh?
There are several consultations running at the moment regarding this issue.
There is a consultation on the Equality act, because it has come to the attention of regular ordinary citizens, that many councils deleted the protected characteristic 'sex' which is a right through the Equality Act; and replaced it with gender. This means that your rights as biological women, are null and void. You might want to put your feelings about this across to the government.
There is consultation on the changes to the Gender Recognition Act, which basically means that anyone [for example famously Ian Huntley] could 'Self ID' as a woman, and immediately get all the rights that a biological/natal woman can get. For Ian - or Nicola [the name of one of his victim's mother - nice] as he is now wanting to be known, that means moving into a female prison. Safeguarding = none.
There is the City of London consultation which is remarkably convoluted because they start with the premise 'trans women are women' and are trying to push through making all of the City of London Corporation's facilities 'gender neutral'. Which means - no more women's loos. Nice if you and the kids are in London, trying to find a toilet where you can be sure a man isn't legally in.
There are others, you might want to have a look at this thread which sums them all up for you - but whatever you do - make your voice heard. Even if it doesn't affect you - it will affect other women and girls.
