To feel terrified after reading the prepping for Brexit threads?

LittleNapRefuser · 28/07/2018 20:26

I have genuinely cried real tears of fear after reading the threads on prepping for Brexit today. I have a toddler and right now I am terrified of what is to come and their future after all this.

I don't really have anyone to talk to about this in 'real life' because most people I know aren't reading the news or don't seem to care.

Should I be terrified? Should I be scared for my baby's future? Can anyone reassure me or offer me an alternative perspective on all this. I don't want to to put my head in the sand but I feel really afraid.

Rainbows: AllIhavetodo - the irony of your comment. You are all over the threads too like a broken record. You go in rotation. From doom, gloom, to why do we never get any other viewpoints? I am listening to other viewpoints, honest, just tell me please, please." Somebody answers, insult fling and "not interested". Start from beginning, faux innocence, please please, am listening" and it all starts up and goes round again.

Erm no.... I think you're getting me mixed up. I've not used the words 'not interested' at all on this thread. Nor have I said 'I'm listening' to you. I think that was Aintnothing.

Ya see, it's your attention to detail and keen eye that really reassures me that all will be well after Brexit. As you were.

Spam fritters anyone?

BadderWolf · 29/07/2018 22:01

You can batter slices of it too. Spam fritters. They were a delicious school dinner favourire in the 70's and arguably the precursor of the battered sausage.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 22:01

Really soft fresh bread, slice of spam and some Branson 😄

BadderWolf · 29/07/2018 22:02

@eightfacesofthemoon beautiful x-post of spam fritter love Wine

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 22:03

Sorry, Branston

AllIHaveToDo · 29/07/2018 22:03

Lol better stock up on Spam for the impending food shortage

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 22:03

Ok, apologies if not. It is the EXACT reason why people don't though, whether it's you who is asking and asking, or ain'tnothing. You both do it. It's like a script. Ain't proved exactly why the asking and pleading keeps going on. To ridicule more. No intention of listening however much you pretend you are to sucker someone into answering.

@BadderWolf
Grin

eightfacesofthemoon · 29/07/2018 22:04

@Aintnothingbutaheartache
Branson for president! Handing out free spam fritters to the poor!
I’d go for it

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 22:04

Dammit, a spam butty on white bread, maybe a bit of ketchup - want one now!

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 22:05

Growing up in the 70’s, a spam fritter was a very special thing🤗

AllIHaveToDo · 29/07/2018 22:06

Rainbows - but you're so full of hypocrisy. Where have you taken onboard peoples anxiety caused by Brexit. Where have you met them halfway and listened to them? Or did you just take the piss on a constant basis about grips and tinned beans and bunkers. You're such a bloody hypocrite

AllIHaveToDo · 29/07/2018 22:07

We'll be going back to the 70s next year, don't worry!

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 22:07

Sorry everyone, thought I heard a weak mewing from a rainbow there?🙄 no? Just me?
Never mind let’s all tuck into the spam sandwiches 👍

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 22:08

eightfaces don’t!

eightfacesofthemoon · 29/07/2018 22:09

You could have spam with waffles too. Looks delish

As the 6th richest economy in the world I rely don't think we'll be short of countries wanting to trade with us. And I have good reason to believe that deals are already well underway. What we read in the press is often well behind the times.

keyboardkate · 29/07/2018 22:10

rainbows go to bed.

But given your activity here over the last few days, I reckon you have shared your logon.

If you haven't, fair dues for your tenacity. But honestly other people really have real lives.

And enjoy banter too. But you are totally ridiculous. With nothing to say. Ever. There. I said it.

AllIHaveToDo · 29/07/2018 22:10

Well that's all well and good Betty, but without proof it's just hypothesis

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 22:11

All - if you care to read the threads, you'd see I said I sympathize with anxiety, it's shit to have it. I know. How are you acknowledging it by your constant feeding of it? You help no one by catastrophising with endless "it's all shit, everything's going to fall down posts". You make it worse.

AllIHaveToDo · 29/07/2018 22:13

Rainbows- but it will be shit compared to what we're used to. Planning for that is erring on the side of caution isn't it?

eightfacesofthemoon · 29/07/2018 22:14

Richard Branson told me he loves a spam fricasse and it will be taught in home ed. When he is president

AllIHaveToDo · 29/07/2018 22:14

And if your offerings of sympathy amount to making banal jokes numerous times about grips I'd hate to be your friend irl.

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 22:14

Shared my logon? Confused No idea what that's even supposed to mean, sorry if I'm supposed to. Confused Real life comment is interesting. Would you say go to bed and have a real life to someone posting just as much but with your "it's shit, why won't everybody join me" attitude? Guessing not.
