To think it's not hot at all

I'm here in a blanket in the south west in a 3 story Edwardian and it's cloudy.

I've felt other heatwaves but this one doesn't even register tbh

It’s hotter here in Yorkshire than it is in Crete today...31degrees. I am sick of being covered in. a fine layer of sticky sweat and my work uniform sticking to me Sad
Working in this heat is THE Pits.

It’s just got really grey and dark outside, hoping it’s a storm to cool things down!

My bedroom this evening Is 29.5.
With a fab. It’ll be about 27 in the morning.
Too hot for sleeping.

Its so hot here in Thanet today that I had to escape the family for a “ladies wot lunch” day on the coast with a friend. Nothing like a Cesar salad on the sea front washed down with a few Chardonnays to make this heat bearable 😉😂

What about all the wildfires in Lancashire that were encroaching on Bolton...were they not because of how hot and dry it is, or was that a mistake on my part??
Now, those who live in cooler places, good for you, but there are those who have to commute every bloody day on the tube, upwards of 40 degree bloody heat!!!
This Summer, compared to so many others, is a bloody hot summer.

The tube is chronic on a normal day . I really feel for those having to use them on this heat .

My laundry had dried before i finished pegging it all out! Oh and the dog fell asleep in the dog paddling pool with his head on the blow up edge like a pillow. Patio thermometer has hit 35 and yesterday i got through nearly 5ltrs of drinking water just for me... So it's definitely a bit warm.

I'm in the Midlands. I'm glad you're not hot, OP, but spare a thought for those of us who are trying to cope with temperatures over 30 today.

I’ve just been on holiday to Devon and was actually cold in the caravan at night. I’m back home in Berkshire and even with all the windows open it’s hotter than hell! Think it depends where you are

North west here and I’ve melted today 29 degrees. But the temp has dropped so much this evening and it’s LOVELY now! It’s going to be 10 degrees lower than the last few weeks ans I am so happy! Grin

I'm in norfolk, hairdresser, just done 10 hour day 35 degrees and a hot hairdryer in my hand for most of the day, so yeah you could say it hot,

@JassyRadlett another Queenslander here too 👋 Had a conversation with DH tonight saying houses are not built for heat here. Would love some aircon right now!

Santa Ponsa. Tis hot, but hovering around 30 degrees, so cooler than parts of Britain by the sound of it. Plus there is the pool, beach and air conditioning in all the rooms.

Could have saved my money and stayed in the UK, but we booked during the long, cold winter as we were desperate for sunshine and warmth.

I live in east anglia where it has been in the early 30’s all week. We left east anglia for the Sussex coast today. I was wearing a vest top and short skirt. Arrived here and it’s cold and been raining. I’m now wearing trousers and a fleece! I’ve packed all summer clothes too!
But yesterday when the OP wrote this it was super hot (please sun come back)

Hi aussie! This last few days has reminded me of my early flats in Brisbane (no aircon) in February, especially at night.

But at least in Brisbane everything else is air conditioned to the point of frostbite!

But it's not an obvious truth is it? It's hot in SOME parts of the UK only.
As usual SE England = UK. (and apparently Scotland at the moment!)
