I'm not clued up on s&m but no still means no.

Belindabauer · 26/07/2018 20:21

His brother also murdered his wife. His lawyers managed to reduce it down to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility.

Belindabauer · 26/07/2018 20:22

I have all culture clubs records as I loved bg as a child.

twattymctwatterson · 26/07/2018 20:28

@doubleshotespresso are you saying that BG was wrongly convicted and that in fact the sex worker consented to being handcuffed to a radiator and beaten with chains? Or do you just think that he deserved anything he got for going there?

derxa · 26/07/2018 20:28

His brother also murdered his wife. His lawyers managed to reduce it down to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility. He is a paranoid schizophrenic. The poor woman.

I love that programme anyway and I really enjoyed that episode... It was bloody heartbreaking... His gran in golden Island... I'm from Dublin and the stories from that place would give you nightmares.... Wet bed sheets was nothing and Iean nothing compared to what came out about the place... Horrific is not the word.
And then the great aunt.... Was in buckets...

BeenThereDone · 26/07/2018 20:35

Mean nothing*

southeastdweller · 26/07/2018 20:36

It’s totally pointless mentioning BG’s brother here.

shins · 26/07/2018 20:42

There was a lot of dysfunction in the family. The father was very violent and abusive. (I read the mum's memoir). Not excusing anything but patterns do repeat themselves.

coolncalm · 26/07/2018 20:43

I read a book once about life in the Dublin tenements, absolutely unbelievable. I love Dublin people.

CaptainKirkssparetupee · 26/07/2018 20:45

His brother was seriously ill, the whole thing is tragic.
Maybe we should just focus on boy George and not bring his family into it, he isn't responsible for the actions of others.

Badbadtromance · 26/07/2018 20:57

Well it loved the program.

Quite. Nobody knows and its none of our business. So I dont see why you say 'questions should surely be asked.'

From what has been published, their relationship was physically and verbally abusive to each other, with Jon Moss quoted as saying that BG tried to kill him by dropping a plant pot on his head from height.

longwayoff · 26/07/2018 21:14

Really, for heavens sake. Brother is seriously unwell. Wtf him and his poor wife got to do with it? Nasty salacious gossip ditto Jon Moss leave him outI too.

PunchtheClock · 26/07/2018 21:22

What about Gavin Rossdale who went on to marry Gwen Stefani? Its all in the book.

I saw Boy George live in a small venue quite recently and Jon Moss was at the bar watching him. Whatever happened between them they clearly have a strong bond. Want Jon from a religious background or am i imagining that? I loved the 80's.

ShirleyPhallus · 26/07/2018 21:25

What happened?

BoneyBackJefferson · 26/07/2018 21:31

Jon Moss has publicly spoken about how abusive their relationship was, So not "Nasty salacious gossip".

longwayoff · 26/07/2018 21:44

You need a new hobby.

southeastdweller · 26/07/2018 21:47

So where are your links Boney?

BoneyBackJefferson · 26/07/2018 21:47

Maybe you need to see your heroes for what they are.

"At the height of their success, blows were exchanged before going onstage. George threatened to quit many times even as their fame was beginning to take off."

"Moss remembers the tempestuous times: “He tried to kill me with a plant pot, seriously, from two storeys up, by dropping it on my head. I tried to smoke him out and set fire to him one evening, but it wasn’t very good.”"

CraftyGin · 26/07/2018 21:51

Very disappointed in this edition of WDYTYA.

justbinthefeckinbyebyebox · 26/07/2018 22:05

Sometimes people that you have no interest in at all, or don't like are really good on wdytya.

Do you really want to hurt me? Yes bg I do!! 😅

lightonthewater · 26/07/2018 22:08

Boy George was a drug addict and a drunk. He behaved appallingly in the past. However, he is now clean and sober and has turned his life around. I don't like him much or his music, but he isn't the person he used to be. Surely he deserves some credit for that? Many others in his position are still drug addicts and abusive.
