That's awful. Everyone knows disability aid trump's pram. It's common sense.

I think the problem mostly lies with the train guard who humiliated the woman with the mobility scooter, though of course the mother with the pram was out of order too. Those spaces are for people with disabilities first, not prams. The guard got it wrong and should be sacked for gross misconduct.

A different article (with more depth) explained that the lady was in a seat, and her scooter in the disability space. That was the basis of the guards decision.

Unfortunately some people stick rigidly to the rule book, which probably said 'wheelchair' instead of 'mobility device'

Just personal observation, but seems accessibility is slowly disappearing, not getting better. Out of sight, out of mind (again).

It does highlight the need for transport to be more accessible for disabled people and families though. I’ve always thought what happens is multiple disabled people, multiple prams, or a disabled person with a pram gets on. It’s very badly designed, as if being disabled or having a pram is an afterthought.
