Costa or Starbucks

Sat in Costa today inspired by the mcds thread thinking how much I prefer Starbucks but it's more expensive and Costa has a better loyalty scheme

Nero.
Costa if no Nero around and I want coffee. They can at least make a macchiato without putting stupid syrupy stuff in it. If Starbucks was the only place around I'd probably have a bottle of water.

Starbucks, 100%. Their white chocolate mocha is amazing (and obviously the pumpkin spice latte) they also nearly always have limited edition coffees, whereas costa tend to do the same boring drinks all year around (apart from the fruity ones in the summer).

Having said that....when christmas comes around, i live in costa!! I absolutely love their christmas coffees!

Costa, but I don't like coffee. I like their hot chocolate and their goat's cheese paninis and triple chocolate cookies/muffins. I've never been to a Starbucks though so don't know if I'm missing out.

Neither, their coffee is crap and their business models are only viable because of unethical and exploitative practices. Unlike other unethical businesses that have a monopoly on their market e.g. supermarkets ect, there are so many independent coffee shops so really no reason to go to a Costa or Starbucks imo.

Starbucks.

There are no independents in the city centre that serve coffee I enjoy, though there are if I go further out and I will happily use them.

My current addiction is caramel coffee frappuccino. I need to wean myself off them.

I wouldn't go to either-or I like coffee.

Starbucks food but Costa Coffee.

Neither are a patch on cafe Nero though. My nearest one is fab and one of the baristas always gives ds a free gingerbread man and a cup of warm milk in winter or iced milk when it's hot so I may be biased.

For taste, I prefer Costa. However, Starbucks do filter coffee for £1.55 and you can have a free refill - this isn't advertised on most of their boards but if you ask, they always provide it.

Starbucks. Much prefer their flavoured coffees and the staff in my local Costa are beyond terrible.

Waitrose.

Their coffee is free!

For independents in Liverpool Paolo and Donato's in Williamson Square is by far and away the best.

They also make the best ice cream I have ever tasted anywhere in my life, including Turkey and Sardinia

Definitely costa for me,
Have only tried a caramel latte from Starbucks so can't comment on my opinion of its drinks(did try to get a frappuccino two times now but they've always been out of ice )

Costa depends on my mood in hot times I generally get a Belgian chocolate frostino without coffee, or a milk whip.

In colder times I'm ordering basically everything, hot chocolate, chai latte, Christmas specials ect. You name it )

Starbucks.

Costas are always run down and part of terrible shopping complexes I.e next to a kfc and a subway. Puts me right off

Costa. I prefer their lattes and their iced drinks

Costa! Starbucks hot choc always tastes off to me. Also I prefer the coconut milk they use at Costa. Makes such a difference. Starbucks just isn't the same. I don't really mind the price because I'm not a daily or weekly coffee buyer. More of a treat every couple of weeks.

Between Costa and SB, I'd give it to SB. Coffee is fairly rubbish in both, but SB have much better food and I hate the ubiquity of Costa (one on every street corner).

McDonald's coffee is surprisingly decent.

Ah yes Nero and Maccys!!! I'd have both over Starbucks.

Independent shops, then Costa. Not the tax avoiders Starbucks.
