To think people queuing for build a bear are Fucking insane

Sorry if anyone else has mentioned this also I don't know if this is happening anywhere in the country but where I live they're doing a "pay your age for a bear" at build a bear.

People in my town were queueing for FIVE HOURS + with their children just to get a cheap bear. I think they're fucking stupid. I'm totally shocked that so many people were willing to wait that long for a Fucking bear.

I just feel for the staff! Must be grim!

I got that at 9:30am, took one look at the queues and turned around. Must have been at least 1000 people at the store closest to me at that time. Can't believe that people were joining the back of the queue!

I can't imagine why anyone would willingly do that, 5 hours in a queue for a cheap nasty stuffed toy?

Yeah on the post I saw about it loads of people were saying people were abusing the staff as well for having to wait so long. What a Fucking nightmare

There's a build a bear local to me and the queues are insane. The queue has now been closed (I think every shop in the country has now closed its queue) and the people already in it will apparently have to wait until at least 7pm now.

I certainly wouldn't queue up for that. I know they're very expensive toys and it could be a hefty saving, but it's not worth the stress to me. I appreciate that for some people though, they would never be able to afford one otherwise.

I do feel for the staff who must be so stressed. It seems it has been a misjudged idea!

It is a constant source of amazement to me how Build a bear is still in buisness. Once you ahve successfully built the frigging bear, is that not the charm and ooooh factor of it over.
How long does it take to build the bugger anyway? 15 mins? Then add on all the over priced accessories.
No accounting for the people who turn into collectors but for most people its a one time trip surely?

Ive heard that the police have been called out to manage some of the queues. I should think they’ll be quite annoyed about that, the police have enough to do.

They’re not THAT expensive usually though are they? I mean, firmly in ‘birthday treat’ territory, but not exactly saving up like you might for Didneyland or something!

If I wasn't working today and lived nearby I might have gone down super early to get near the front of the queue but the people going down later and joining the already ridiculous queue are bonkers. Apparently at one point they were saying it was an 8hr queue at my nearest store.

Anyone yay queues for hours for a stuffed bear is a better woman than me!
