To ask what the funniest thing you've read on Mumsnet is?

There's some really funny people on here and some stuff has me smiling for days. One I read recently was about the names small children called their parents instead of Mummy and Daddy. One poster wrote that her DC called her DH "Daddy" and called her "Not Daddy" - still makes me smile.

It's no wonder this place gets fleeced for hundreds from the begging threads.

The best one liner I can remember was a poster saying she'd found an old mobile phone and was reading the texts. Her and her dh were trying to figure out what the original message could have been to warrant the reply found, which was 'yes, with a wooden spoon'.

Someone replied with 'and the dish ran away, you say?'

I howled

The fly seat on the bus had me properly laughing and the woman in Asda with her husband doing the T-rex. More recently the story where a woman said she pised on the chair - it was an autocorrect mistake but v funny and totally derailed the thread@

My all-time favorite is a satiric thread about an OAP-free wedding. It was masterful, almost Swiftian, and a clever play on child free wedding threads.

My vote for the funniest has been long lost being in chat and was a simple matter of a poster trying and failing repetedly to link to something back in the days of around the link address. No cutting and pasting for us oldies.

No idea why it was so funny but I had tears rolling down my face. It was my first week on MN and I thought I'd stumbled across the funniest site on t'internet.

I laughed hard yesterday...in amongst all the "I'm a ... ask me anything" threads someone had put "I'm a spy, dont ask me anything" I was creased!

Fatballs makes me laugh every time I read it

The Sistine Chapel made tears come down my cheeks. The only other thread that has made me laugh out loud was someone asked what was the worst part of your day? A poster answered that she was hit in the face with a swede. I don’t know why but it made me howl. It still makes me giggle now

There was a thread about what you did differently for your PFBs compared to subsequent DCs. One replied that her PFB had only Evian whilst dc2 drank out the cat bowl.

There was one similar to fat balls where the OP discovered that her DH had been using anti-bacterial cleaning wipes instead of facial wipes. It came to light because of his "big fat red head" or something like that.. The OP's phrasing was just amazing. It had me in stitches.
