There's some really funny people on here and some stuff has me smiling for days. One I read recently was about the names small children called their parents instead of Mummy and Daddy. One poster wrote that her DC called her DH "Daddy" and called her "Not Daddy" - still makes me smile.

There was one a while ago that I've never been able to find, and which this weather got me thinking about not because I had to do the 'slide and stand' manoeuvre recently about the embarrassing sweat patch left on a plastic chair Blush
Proper had me in stitches Grin

Ohlellykelly · 03/07/2018 17:11

I loved the thread about teenagers writing GCSE questions, I cried laughing at that one.

MaireadMacSweeney · 03/07/2018 17:11

It's difficult to chose as I've been here for 9 years and read many funny posts but one that sticks in my mind is Worra's post on the haunted mirror thread.

The OP had a gothic style mirror which had a mark on it that looked like a spooky face. Some posters warned her that burglars sometimes press their faces on windows to see in houses and perhaps someone had been in her house and done the same to her mirror. They told her she should call the police (!)

Worra came on the thread and said something like "oh yes I can just imagine how the conversation would go - 'excuse me officer but every time I look in my mirror I see a face'"

I almost choked I laughed so hard Grin

Drchinnery · 03/07/2018 17:11

The thread about passport photos and someone commented they'd had their baby's one done and they looked like a criminal potato, first time I've laughed out loud at mumsnet! Also t rexing!

WittyJack · 03/07/2018 17:12

Graeme the budgie! This is a comedy masterpiece:

someone who found an insect in her belly button after gardening that day
there is a small Korean woman in my garden
A thread about what a hamwidge is-
bread
ham
bread
a hamwidge.

My absolute favourite single post was from the 'the funniest part of your labour' thread. On gas and air and in the stirrups she piped up
'Am I having a pedicure?'

yawning801 · 03/07/2018 17:15

I'm pooping in to say cutted up pear as well! I wasn't on MN at the time but I discovered it one evening and was in stitches.

MaireadMacSweeney · 03/07/2018 17:15

SenecaFalls I loved the OAP free wedding thread too, didn't the OP suggest that they go to see the Lion King instead? Grin

SilverySurfer · 03/07/2018 17:15

Thanks for linking to the Easter Bonnet thread FreezerBird. I re-read it and laughed just as hard. The photo is no longer on the OP's account but someone has copied it on the second page and it's just as funny as I remembered it Grin

flopsyandjim · 03/07/2018 17:16

I've been a mumsnetter under various usernames for years now. I think when I joined, the penguin dating thread was happening.

I remember penis beaker too, that one is my all time favourite. Also the one where her son made a clay cock.

yawning801 · 03/07/2018 17:16

Shit. Literally.

POPPING! NOT POOPING!!!

jigsawpiece · 03/07/2018 17:17

I Pooed on My Skirt at Work Today.

Funniest thread EVER!!!

Has me in stitches and actually crying every time I read it :D

HyacinthBuffet · 03/07/2018 17:18

The one where the OP asked about the logistics travelling around New Zealand with children then helpfully replied to her own post a year or so after she’d been.

LanguidLobster · 03/07/2018 17:19

Screaming in the Sistine chapel was funny - uglyswan's response was ultra amusing

clownfaces · 03/07/2018 17:20

Strangely enough, it was a thread about fisting but there were loads of typos that made the thread really funny. One poster commented that they had 'eyes like shovels'. Still makes laugh hysterically (and I mention it every time I see one of these threads) Grin
I didn't see it but seeing Witch's post above 'Op. Your minge' has made me laugh.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 03/07/2018 17:23

Cutted-up Pear - formal title was ‘If your toddler posted on AIBU’.

Elderly Korean Lady.

Brian from Hull, and his oh-so kind offer of yoni massages.

clownfaces · 03/07/2018 17:23

I'd forgotten the HOF Advent calendar. That poster was really funny.

ikeepaforkinmypurse · 03/07/2018 17:24

the screaming in the chapel was fantastic.

The PFB thread was hilarious: lovely parents squirting baby shampoo in their eye to check the tear-proofness, the mother slamming a door on her own finger to see how much it could have hurt her child, the one removing one layer of clothing to ensure she had one less than her baby...
the whole thread is a heart-warming barmy gold mine.

DameFanny · 03/07/2018 17:24

There's a thread somewhere in classics about fails in professional life. The crime scene investigator that tripped onto the corpse still makes me cry

Tomatoesrock · 03/07/2018 17:25

Yes pooed on my skirt was hilarious.

Neverender · 03/07/2018 17:26
