To ask what your low cost luxury is?

We are trying to save money at the moment so there is little room for luxury.

I'd love to hear your low cost (or even free!) luxuries? At the moment mine are a cheap bunch of flowers and a coffee from the machine. I did buy myself some tights today but I'm not sure you can call that a luxury...

How do you treat yourself?

I have a bottle of pillow spray from This Works. It isn’t cheap as an initial outlay (about £20 depending on sales) but it lasts for ages and one spritz on the bed instantly soothes me.

Clean bedding, hot bath, clean pjs and a book in bed. Bliss.

Wine in the bath if I have had a tough week.
A plant or a bunch of flowers.
A good book.

JengaCupboard · 26/05/2018 21:27

Another vote for the £4 aldi Jo Malone candle - number 1 is my favourite- and their version of nice Azera coffee that I hide...

SexyManatee · 26/05/2018 21:27

Bath bombs

PompholyxOfUnknownOrigin · 26/05/2018 21:28

Aldi flowers
Aldi weird foreign food I wouldn't usually buy
Going to an art gallery
Going somewhere interesting for the afternoon without telling anyone where I am
Picking wild flowers (spring) or wild fruit (autumn)
Finding nice things to smell (currently lilac, and washing hung outside)

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 26/05/2018 21:29

Elderflower cordial (the fancy stuff). Just for me, as my kids gluttons would demolish it in an instant.

Love it.

Chuck some gin and ice in with it, I love it even more Grin

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 26/05/2018 21:29

Righty off to Aldi soon for a stock up

WallisFrizz · 26/05/2018 21:34

Sav Blanc/Malbec, a new lipstick, M&S meal deal, glossy magazine.

Mostly one of those a week. Two on occasion.

YearOfYouRemember · 26/05/2018 21:37

Magazine fans - get the Readly app. Costs £7.99 a month and you can read as many magazines as you like. Environmentally a no brainer.

RunningjustasfastasIcan99 · 26/05/2018 21:37

A massive plate of mushrooms on toast. I never buy them because my family hate them.

expatinscotland · 26/05/2018 21:37

I give myself a manicure. Aldi candles are another lovely treat.

Ickyockycocky · 26/05/2018 21:38

Pack of four chunky Kitkats.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 26/05/2018 21:38

A new top, duck and pancakes and baked Camembert cheese.

Maelstrop · 26/05/2018 21:43

Hot bath undisturbed for an hour.
A lie in.
Cheap rhubarb gin.
A wander round the clothes section in Asda.
A nanny nap with the dog on my knee in the afternoon.

a day on the beach collecting sea glass

coldestwinter · 26/05/2018 21:47

My local Dobbies do 2 diffusers for £6 , quite basic ones but the orange scent is the most delicious thing Iv ever smelt.

Usually a fancy coffee and a long walk but I'm currently 6 months pregnant, hate coffee and my toddler now hates the pram so a long walk isn't the same.

Destinysdaughter · 26/05/2018 21:49

Browsing in charity shops. And hopefully finding a bargain! 😀

coldestwinter · 26/05/2018 21:51

Also whoever mentioned eBay make up samples/testers... thank you!!!! Just bought a couple of lipsticks and a sample foundation Glitterball

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 26/05/2018 21:53

Yes!i swear you get great testers on eBay. Bargaintastic
And if you get the money it’s worth buying the 200ml double wear foundation. You can split it with mates if you’re all same shade

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 26/05/2018 21:54

Loose tea from bird and blend

LynetteScavo · 26/05/2018 21:56

Candles are my luxury

His can you all not know about The Aldi fake Jo Malone ones- and last week the fake Diptique. Both good value.

I also love Korres Santorini Vine shower gel.

A perfectly tidy house. A huge luxury for someone with 3 messy D.C.

Croissants and decent coffee for breakfast when I don't have to rush to work.
