Royal wedding outfits (because they are the best bit!)

Without being bitchy about actual physical attributes, who looked great and who didn't quite make the grade?

I thought the bride's mother's outfit was lovely. Amal Clooney's yellow dress looked fab. Pippa Middleton's dress was v pretty. I liked Victoria beckham's too. Some lovely hats here:

But Eugenie and Beatrice bless them both seem to have gone for quite unflattering dresses in my personal opinion. They are young, slim, pretty, have lovely shiny hair and have an unlimited budget - how do they manage to get the dresses wrong?!

She is in most pictures of JB , but no name anywhere I can find, and hearty googling has so far failed to source the frock, I really want it !

I’ve trawled through all the midi dresses on the Harrods website. Can’t see anything even very similar. It is vaguely Roksanda, vaguely Roland Mouret, vaguely Dolce, but no obvious similar thing. ☹️

I have looked at the site. Oh bloody hell her dresses are incredibly expensive. Even by designer standards. I haven’t found the actual dress yet, I’m about to browse her site.

I wasn't keen on Eugenie's look, especially as I actually really like her figure and think she could full off some cheeky numbers. She is like a Royal barmaid. Unfortunately the dated sixties look with high neck gives her a uni-boob and makes her matronly. She needs scooped necks and structured clothing.

I wish Beatrice and Eugenie would just take their reputation as wild hat-wearers and run with it a la Isabella Blow. There is too much boring and tasteful fashion around.

Daily mail yesterday had a pic of DoC with two of her children ‘in a £39.99 Zara dress’

I love how they mention the price of the dress as they do the price of the houses the people live in.

Ahhhh you found the dress! I had a really good try, ended up on reddit searching discussion on every outfit but that one just did not appear! Well done Year shows you its good to persevere. Its a beautiful dress. I'm suprised it was overlooked by the general coverage!

Yes there's a lot of tasteful and hence less daring fashion move but who wants to criticised by the press the next day? The DM were merciless to E&B at W&K's wedding. And there's no one interesting personality wise like Dame Barbara Cartland anymore. I used to love her overly flouncey and romantic clothes.

Emília Wickstead might be reducing her stock soon, she’s currently getting a load of flack for suggesting that MM’s wedding dress was ripped off from one of hers!
