Royal wedding outfits (because they are the best bit!)

Without being bitchy about actual physical attributes, who looked great and who didn't quite make the grade?

I thought the bride's mother's outfit was lovely. Amal Clooney's yellow dress looked fab. Pippa Middleton's dress was v pretty. I liked Victoria beckham's too. Some lovely hats here:

But Eugenie and Beatrice bless them both seem to have gone for quite unflattering dresses in my personal opinion. They are young, slim, pretty, have lovely shiny hair and have an unlimited budget - how do they manage to get the dresses wrong?!

I loved Sarah Chatto, Fergie & Camilla. Amal was too ‘look at me’ for my liking, though I still admire the outfit. Mind you tough colour to pull off! Didn’t like Oprah’s dress. Loved Dorias.

The thing about Diana’s dress was it was iconic.
All the dresses during the 80s looked like hers.

Fergie’s dress was a one off made for her. It was ok imho.

here are some outfits Princess Beatrice has been praised for.

Back in 2015; her style was so much better. I particularly like the white dress with lavender shoes she wore to the serpentine gallery.
If the dress she wore to harry’s Wedding had similar short capped sleeves and the sheer top bit it would have looked much less heavy.

Although the teal was a pretty colour, the dress suited the original peach which would have looked great with Beatrice hair

I do think she looks better in some of the plainer dresses like the white one above. Some on that link are absolute horrors! She needs to keep it simple and the wedding dress was too voluminous and fussy. I presume they just lent it to her? She wouldn't have paid £12,000 for it surely...
I also don't think she particularly suit hats. I don't either!

CurlyWurly, I looked at that link about Princess Beatrice's clothes and she looked really lovely in just about all the outfits shown. She is a very pretty girl with a good figure but at William's and then Harry's wedding she just made awful choices in her outfits

Should we call all young girls "very pretty" then, if that's what we'd call Beatrice. She's got the lovely glow of youth which all young girls have. But she fares no better than the majority of young girls.

I hardly think she's a "young girl" either at nearly 30. I mean, it's not remotely old but it isn't the first flush of youth either!

Meghan and Harry also get described as 'young people' which is frankly not true of anyone in their mid 30s!

Speak for yourselves, I'm in my 40s and consider my flushes as those akin to youth!

I think Beatrice is pretty. I agree that she does need to keep her clothing choices simple though. Is she not dating anybody? I dont see anyone on her arm in any of those photos or at the wedding.

The simpler outfits definantly suit Beatrice better.

She was in a relationship for ten years, but split up a couple of years back.

Agree with pps on the "young people" thing. I've seen it trotted out over and over again in the papers and broadcast media about these two young people in love. She's 37 in August ffs!

I do think Beatrice is very pretty. Others, obviously, will disagree. We all have different ideas of beauty. I think Meghan is beautiful, Kate attractive.

Lots of people think Angelina Jolie is attractive, maybe even beautiful. I don't. Also someone like Kate Moss. I can never believe it when people describe her as beautiful.

I though Amal Clooney’s outfit, apart from not fitting, was somewhat spoiled by the fact her heels were so high she couldn’t walk, and instead sort of staggered along clinging to George.
