Royal wedding outfits (because they are the best bit!)

Without being bitchy about actual physical attributes, who looked great and who didn't quite make the grade?

I thought the bride's mother's outfit was lovely. Amal Clooney's yellow dress looked fab. Pippa Middleton's dress was v pretty. I liked Victoria beckham's too. Some lovely hats here:

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.harpersbazaar.com/celebrity/latest/gmp20106557/meghan-markle-prince-harry-royal-wedding-hats/

But Eugenie and Beatrice bless them both seem to have gone for quite unflattering dresses in my personal opinion. They are young, slim, pretty, have lovely shiny hair and have an unlimited budget - how do they manage to get the dresses wrong?!

Electric blue pissed me off, never sat still, flicking her hair even during the prayers and in such an obvious seat she quite detracted from the b and g at times. Poor behaviour.

dogzdinner · 19/05/2018 16:35

Who was the one in orange? I think she was from Suits

SayImADreamer · 19/05/2018 16:36

Who was the (is she a royal?) woman who was in a deep purple number?

bringbackfonzi · 19/05/2018 16:36

I loved the dresses of: Cressida Bonas, Amal Clooney, Kitty Spencer, Abigail Spencer, James Blunt's wife, and Carey Mulligan. Most of all Cressida Bonas's wh8ch I thought was so individual and un-staid.

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/05/2018 16:36

Countess Spencer, Diana's brother's (third) wife.

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/05/2018 16:37

That was for @SayImADreamer

CapnCabinet · 19/05/2018 16:40

I liked Beatrice's headgear.

Wasn't keen on Lady Louise's shrug but liked her dress.

Amal Clooney looked amazing - less keen on George's stripey tie.

Mother of the bride looked lovely - I'd hate to have been in her shoes picking an outfit out! She did a great job.

WeWere0nABreak · 19/05/2018 16:40

Agree - I only saw kitty spencer's top third in the hats article and thought how amazing. Then I saw the full floral dress and wasn't as keen. If it had all been just that shade of green, she'd have been my winner!

@QueenOfTheAndals
Thanks!

Countess Spencer then - I thought her purple number and nude shoes looked great with her dark hair.

Amal obviously.

I loved Camillas hat, the colour, the texture.

Not a fan of Eugenie and Beatrices taste tbh, I always think their choices are quite shockingly bad.

Lunde · 19/05/2018 16:43

I loved Amal's dress, Oprah's outfit and Doria, mother of the bride.

I know that everyone is bashing Kate for her pale yellow, "boring" outfit but she can't really win. If she wore something stunning there would be bitching about upstaging the bride. Anyway I thought she looked good - especially 26 days after giving birth when she is probably still in maternity pads!

I don't really like the styling of Lady Louise Windsor- she needs younger styling. Her mother seems to dress her as a mini-me - the hat was very ageing for a 14 year old.

cleofatra · 19/05/2018 16:45

I really wasnt keen on Pippa's dress or.....ok, I'll say it Amal Clooney's.

areyoubeingserviced · 19/05/2018 16:45

Amal Clooney, Countess Spencer , Serena Williams, Kitty Spencer and the woman in the orange outfit with the cape. They all looked fab
The Queen also looked great

TheNoseyProject · 19/05/2018 16:45

Serena Williams looked fab! Also really like the dress of the woman next to Chelsea Davy in the link above.

lanbury · 19/05/2018 16:46

I felt sorry for the ladies who chose to wear skyscraper heels - it looked like one hell of a walk and slightly down hill!

Nanny0gg · 19/05/2018 16:46

I loved Kitty Spencer's outfit.

And the actress (from Suite?) in the navy

HolyMountain · 19/05/2018 16:47

Kitty Spencers's Dolce and Gabbana green dress was so beautiful I could cry over it Grin.

Dress of the day!

WeWere0nABreak · 19/05/2018 16:47

I haven't seen it on tv, but apparently someone had a sign that said: "I married a ginger too" - is that true??!

I didn't like Louise Windsors dress, it was a bit frumpy, as was Pippa Middletons.

I thought MOB looked fab, and that Princess Anne looked very on trend in her dress. Although that may have been accidental Grin Agree re Kitty Spencer, she looked fabulous, as did her mother. And Sarah Ferguson looked good too. I wonder if she will be getting married again soon?

TheNoseyProject · 19/05/2018 16:48

I also liked Carole middleton’s Outfit. Didn’t like pippa’s.

HolyMountain · 19/05/2018 16:49

Sarah looked fantastic and so happy to be there, bless her.

cleofatra · 19/05/2018 16:50

I thought Sarah Fergusons dress was extremely flattering

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 19/05/2018 16:53

I have no idea who she was but a woman who was walking with Priyanka Chopra and looked kind of 40’s style was absolutely stunning and I loved her dress.

diddl · 19/05/2018 16:53

I think that often Camilla would look better with a smaller hat.

Gina Torres-lovely dress, also liked what Cressida was wearing.

Chelsy's dress-too short for me.

Not keen on either dresses that Bea or Eug were wearing-maybe the necklines/sleeves?

Didn't like Sophie's outfit.

Carole, Kate & Doria all looked lovely I thought.

itchyknees · 19/05/2018 16:53

Amal won. The dark haired woman from suits in the blue polka dot with white collar looked great.

Zara’s coat didn’t fasten and Mike always looks a bit dishevelled. Love them!

I wanted to hug Doria! She seemed so totally alone.

Butterymuffin · 19/05/2018 16:53

Amal Clooney looked outstanding. Countess Spencer in the purple outfit too. Kate's dress looked cream to me when she was inside the chapel but it was deliberately understated I'd say to avoid looking attention seeking, and she is in incredible shape having just given birth. Camilla also looked great. She does accessories brilliantly.
