To have cried buckets at a wedding I thought I didn’t care about?!

Just that really! I thought I wasn’t particularly interested in Harry and Meghan but I’ve just watched the live stream and cried buckets, it was all so emotional and touching!!! I adored every moment!!!

I had no interest in the wedding until I turned the tv on this morning.
I loved the service. Bishop Micheal was like a a breath of fresh air for a often seen stiff and unbending clergy and I loved who ever sang Stand by Me.
It was a well thought out mix of traditional and a bit different.

Yes

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 19/05/2018 13:32

Me too. I'm baffled. To be fair I'm having a tough time at the moment so maybe just cathartic.
They do seem to be properly in love and I think that normality backed against a 1.9 BILLION global audience is very touching.

Bixx · 19/05/2018 13:32

Me too. I turned on the wedding mainly as an avoidance tactic as I have lots of work to do and no motivation. Bawled like a baby. Feel a twat about it though.

bruffin · 19/05/2018 13:34

I bawled every time they showed her mum.

PippaPug · 19/05/2018 13:34

I just love how it brings so many people together 💕

LunaTrap · 19/05/2018 13:34

I'm not a royalist at all but I got tearful at her walking down the aisle alone and then Charles greeting her. It seemed like such a kind and reassuring gesture and made me feel quite emotional!

ncdincasethisthreadflops · 19/05/2018 13:35

Yes.

It was funny, sweet, entertaining and a little batshit at times.

But unless you're friends of them I can't understand the being overcome with emotion

SparklyMagpie · 19/05/2018 13:36

Haha I was the same,I planned on turning off once I'd seen her arrive but ended up watching all of it

FiveShelties · 19/05/2018 13:36

Me too. Had no intention of watching it, but it was a lovely ceremony and I cried lots!😀

NorthernLurker · 19/05/2018 13:36

I cried too. Quite a lot. I don't know why.

LaurieFairyCake · 19/05/2018 13:37

I’ve cried loads! I even came over all Daily Express “If only Diana were alive” at one point.

There is nothing more joyful than seeing people so much in love and seeing so many people happy for them - really, truly moving in a communal way.

MrsK · 19/05/2018 13:38

Me three, I’m fairly ambivalent about the Royal Family. However, I’ve been glued to the tv since 9 watching the build up. She looked stunning & they both look very happy. I’ve gone through several tissues

Elphabaisnotwicked · 19/05/2018 13:38

Me too!

Brettgirl · 19/05/2018 13:39

I sobbed, I'm blaming it on pregnancy hormones... sob

Honeyroar · 19/05/2018 13:41

Ive not cried, but Ive very much enjoyed it, it was a lovely wedding. I always love a big Royal occasion though.

Let's hope the marriage goes as well and they're happy. The wedding is the easy bit.

dogzdinner · 19/05/2018 13:42

I'm very cynical and bitter. I was just going to have a quick look to see her dress

But I ended up watching it all from the first guests arriving. And I cried when she walked down the aisle. Confused

Trooperslane2 · 19/05/2018 13:42

I love an all bawl at a wedding. First one of our friends to get married - the BRIDE'S MOTHER came to see if I was ok :)

Bishop Michael was awesome - they were so natural and wobbly and her wee YAAY look when the Bishop said they were married

Her wee Mum. Charlie looked a bit spaced out at times :)

No Royalist either though a new found respect for all Queenie after watching The Crown Phillip is such a shagger

Luisa27 · 19/05/2018 13:42

Me too....what’s all that about??

RJnomore1 · 19/05/2018 13:43

Diana would be the mil from hell.

I haven't watched it but as I get older weddings and small children singing in groups seem to make me come over all weepy for no good reason.

Serial123 · 19/05/2018 13:43

I’ve cried loads! I even came over all Daily Express “If only Diana were alive” at one point. Grin

Me too! When they went to sign the register and it was just Charles and Doria for the parents Sad

stayhomeclub · 19/05/2018 13:43

I didn’t care particularly but I cried. Her mother looked so proud, I bet Harry was thinking of his mother. It was beautiful.

Trooperslane2 · 19/05/2018 13:44

dogz me too!

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 19/05/2018 13:44

I cried too. No idea why.

Loved the music.

The80sweregreat · 19/05/2018 13:44

Isn’t it odd? I’ve been as cynical as anything yet sat and shed a tear.
