Just that really! I thought I wasn’t particularly interested in Harry and Meghan but I’ve just watched the live stream and cried buckets, it was all so emotional and touching!!! I adored every moment!!!

Same here no mad royal fan but I feel emotionally drained.

So many human touches... Diana... Doria alone... Prince Charles lone parent... Megan's race, the African element... Charities galore... Fergie... Glad the Middletons we sat back aisle Grin

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 19/05/2018 14:38

I missed most of it as I wasn’t really fussed. Just caught the end with the procession through Windsor and a few highlights of the ceremony and that set me off!! Wtf is wrong with us?! Grin

butidontwannausemyhead · 19/05/2018 14:38

I didn't cry but I did really enjoy it and I wasn't expecting to.

daisychain01 · 19/05/2018 14:39

Has anyone mentioned the Queen's outfit, she looked stunning.

I love lime green and purple I think I'll repaint the kitchen those colours

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 14:39

Aww yeah Fergie looked as happy as Larry

RosaGertrudeJekyll · 19/05/2018 14:39

Posh.
I see hers
awful siblings disintegrating watching that

dudsville · 19/05/2018 14:40

I wasn't at all interested. I was reminded that it was happening by colleagues yesterday. I just happened to be ill today and on the sofa so I caught it on catch up. I was really deeply impressed and I honestly feel glad to have seen it. What a surprise.

freshstart24 · 19/05/2018 14:40

I thought I didn't care about it at all, but was glued to the TV and she's a fair few tears.

DH and I held onto each other's hands for dear life during our ceremony and I was moved to see H&M holding hands and Harry gently moving his thumb as though to reassure her.

I did think it was a shame that the Main Royals couldn't find it within themselves to look interested or engaged with the Bishop's speech. Other than William they appeared uninterested and tight lipped. Maybe they didn't like his speech- fake enough but no need to be rude....

JovialNickname · 19/05/2018 14:40

I have to admit I did only tune in to watch it because everything in the run up seemed to indicate it would be such a shambles, I was anticipating car crash TV. But actually it was beautiful, all of it and I did shed a little tear! Seeing Meghan's mum on her own and when she reached out to hold Charles's hand on leaving with that happy hopeful look in her eyes had me in floods. And Harry looking all nervous

megletthesecond · 19/05/2018 14:41

Yanbu.
I welled up whenever her mum was on the screen too.

butidontwannausemyhead · 19/05/2018 14:41

@sayimadreamer - you do know she was a millionaire before she met Harry, right? Hmm

Dapplegrey · 19/05/2018 14:42

Completely - I'm amazed the Guardian printed that poem. I'd have thought they'd have printed a poem more along the lines of

The royal family are a load of gits
Let's line them up against a wall and shoot them all to bits

fudgesmummy · 19/05/2018 14:43

I had already had a cry this morning, as my ds rang (we have a difficult relationship ☹️) speaking to him always upsets me.
Bawled my eyes out for the whole wedding 😭😭

BalloonSlayer · 19/05/2018 14:44

I nearly started this thread!

Why was I crying when none of the people in Church, who actually know the Bride and Groom (with the exception of Meghan's Mum) were crying?

I think it's because the close-ups you get from watching it on telly allow you to empathise with the people, and imagine how they are feeling. What set me off was the little page boy's face when the trumpet fanfare started: he looked absolutely thrilled.

10 yo DS2 came and cuddled me because I was crying so much. I said "I'm not sad, DS2, I am just crying because it's all so lovely!"

youarenotkiddingme · 19/05/2018 14:44

Bruffen me too Blush she looked so proud of Meghan. I also got really touched when Prince Charles took her hand to go and sign the register. He looked genuinely warm towards her.

Even Prince Harry cried!

I was in kitchen doing batch cooking and preparation and had it on in the background (couldn't avoid it really!) but got totally drawn into a wedding I was indifferent about!

IJustHadToNameChange · 19/05/2018 14:44

@SayImADreamer, Meghan's mum.

It's Meghan's mum, Doria I feel sorry for.

Joboy · 19/05/2018 14:45

I have only realised that Megan only had her mum and the only person that Harry did not have there was his mum . Very sad for both of them .

namastayinbed · 19/05/2018 14:45

God me too. Complete republican welling up at the beauty of it. Maybe they've been releasing emotional chem trails this week 🤣

roseblossom75 · 19/05/2018 14:52

I cried buckets too, but more from a selfish point of view that my son won't ever have that experience or the opportunity to ever get married or live independently.

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 14:53

Itv are showing highlights its totes emosh Grin

Justaboy · 19/05/2018 14:57

Well really have to say I just tuned into this by accident when the lovely Eternal source of light devine was being performed and..

Stayed to watch the rest! What can be said that hasnt already it was a superb event by any standards Magnificant historic modern and an odd intimaticy about it, the slight sad sometimes looking Meghan's mum but composed and dignified even prince charlie did well and I think made her very welcome and that bishop! the royals didnt know quite what to make of him did they!?.

But overall I hope they do find happiness and we see an end to what used to heappen to royal maridges these two look in love and much as I've ever seen anyone:-)

And perhaps we should be happy it was a nice day lovely weather proud also the we in the UK can do this sort of even perhaps better then anyone else!.

God save the Queen:-)

The80sweregreat · 19/05/2018 14:57

Yes to them not having all their parents there. Her mum was very dignified.

I cry at anything these days.
I’m glad the weather was good - that usually lets us down.

nomad5 · 19/05/2018 14:58

YANBU

every time there was a shot of Harry looking a bit nervous I thought of him as a boy having to walk behind his mum's coffin Sad I hope he and Meghan have a very happy life together. God knows Harry deserves it.

Bluelady · 19/05/2018 15:01

That little gap toothed pageboy's face! Utter magic. I absolutely loved it - far more than a lot of weddings I've actually attended. I cried too.

Missingthesea · 19/05/2018 15:02

roseblossom, that's not selfish at all Flowers

I cried remembering that little boy walking behind his mother's coffin. I do hope they'll be happy.
