Just that really! I thought I wasn’t particularly interested in Harry and Meghan but I’ve just watched the live stream and cried buckets, it was all so emotional and touching!!! I adored every moment!!!

Yes YABU. Who are they to any of us?

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 14:14

I was looking forward to it but god I didn't realise how teary Iwould be I was relegated upstairs to watch it im so glad I was sobbing at how lovely it all was.

SleepFreeZone · 19/05/2018 14:14

I cried. I hope they are both very happy together.

NoIsACompleteAnswerSometimes · 19/05/2018 14:15

I cry at the ending of the Railway Children/ when ET went home etc so I had no chance of not having a little tear.
Thought her mother and Harry came close to it on a few occasions too, bless them.
Lovely day.

DramaAlpaca · 19/05/2018 14:17

Yes, I found myself welling up.

God only knows what I'll be like when any of my own DC get married.

Destinysdaughter · 19/05/2018 14:17

I admit I did cry a bit, made me have similar feelings to when I watched Obama's inauguration, felt like a sign that the world is changing...

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 14:19

They just looked so in love Meghans smile is stunning and they held hands though the whole thing

PoshPenny · 19/05/2018 14:19

YANBU I thought I wasn't that interested either, but I loved it all. I loved her walking up on her own, I loved what to me felt like a celebration of black musicians, and I hope her horrible family that have caused so much aggro all choked on their waffles watching it....

As a country we have come so far in the years since Charles and Diana got married. Then there were the Brixton riots and others elsewhere in the country and what happened today was practically unthinkable back then.

Queenoftheblitz · 19/05/2018 14:24

Her mum on her own choked me up.

proudbrows · 19/05/2018 14:25

PoshPenny yes absolutely!!

I cried when Scott and Charlene got married, I cried when Fraulein Maria and Captain Von trapp got married, I cried when the Greatest Showman married Charidee. I even cried when the seven wives married the seven brothers, so yes. Harry and Megan was always going to get a few of my tears.

areyoubeingserviced · 19/05/2018 14:25

I said in another thread that I cried too.
I was about to go to the gym but ended up watching the whole wedding.
I thought that Meghan’s mother was amazing. Such a dignified woman and I can understand why Harry described her as ‘amazing’.
I am sure that her main concern is that Harry takes care of her daughter and I am sure that he will.

MissEliza · 19/05/2018 14:26

I agree Diana would have been a nightmare MIL. I only had a little tear for Meghan's mum as I thought she looked a bit lonely sitting there. Prince Charles was lovely with Meghan and I saw him chatting away to her mum on the steps afterwards.

Robin233 · 19/05/2018 14:26

Amazing :)
Congratulations to them both x

The poem printed in the Guardian by Carole Ann Duffy set me off

Long Walk
It should be private, the long walk
on bereavement’s hard stones;
and when people wave, their hands
should not be mobile phones,
nor their faces lenses;
so your heart dressed in its uniform.
On. Then one blessed step
and the long walk ended
where love had always been aimed,
her arrows of sweet flowers gifting
the air among bells- yes, they all looked-
and saying your name.

Thornyrose7 · 19/05/2018 14:30

I have just watched it for a second time with DD who was at a club and I cried again. I am not a royalist, I have been very cynical, but the moment the trumpets sounded and the page boy looked excited just triggered of some emotion. The moment Meghan came up the aisle was just magical and the singer and music were exquisite. I cant believe how moved I was.

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 14:30

I think the lady next to Meghans mum was looking after her I saw her touch her arm and chat to her. Oh Mike Tindell had his hand on Zaras bump and I was off again Confused

daisychain01 · 19/05/2018 14:31

The most moving part of the ceremony was Meghan's delivery of the line:

All that I am I give to you.

She said it with such raw emotion and commitment, I don't care that she's been a Hollywood actress, that was definitely from the 💓

IJustHadToNameChange · 19/05/2018 14:33

I feel sorry for Doria.

There are a couple of still pictures of her, close up, in the car with Meghan and the look on her face was so daunted.

She looked out of the windows at the crowds with a look on her face that just said "What the Hell have I been dragged into?"

Onlyoldontheoutside · 19/05/2018 14:34

We weren't going to watch it but did,DD even said it was nice and less stuffy than she thought a royal wedding would be.I agree. We liked the simple dress and she looked happy and beautiful as a bride should.
We also noticed them looking and slightly smiling at each other at the mention of children.

Crunchymum · 19/05/2018 14:35

Found myself feeling quite emotional once the princes arrived. Had a few tears when the bride arrived, and proper tears seeing her mum all alone.

Found the ceremony very boring though.

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 14:36

Can you imagine being an ordinary person and having to deal with all that hoha.

slowlywiltingpetal · 19/05/2018 14:36

Tears definitely welled, but I'm like that with most pomp and ceremony. Just wishing them a fantastic day, plus an amazing future together.

daisychain01 · 19/05/2018 14:36

They were truly blessed with the weather.

I kept feeling ridiculously happy and relieved for them, I mean imagine Meghan having to walk down the steps of the chapel in the driving rain, wind whipping up that beautiful lace train into a gritty mess 🌧

Nooooo none of that, just ☀️ ☀️ and more ☀️ And blue cloudless sky...

SayImADreamer · 19/05/2018 14:37

@IJustHadToNameChange
Dont feel too bad. It was 2 hours of discomfort in exchange for being a millionaire. Somehow, i think shes going to be alright you know.
