To want to know WHAT HAPPENED!?!

willynillypie · 05/04/2018 16:52

Guys, I KNOW how sad this sounds but I am on maternity leave with a lot (A LOT) of time on my hands - I was following two threads which were absolutely amazing in terms of the responses - the unforgettable CF house sitting thread, and one about taking a 5 month old baby to the cinema. Went out to run errands, came home...BOTH THREADS HAVE BEEN TAKEN DOWN!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HOUSE SITTING SITUATION!?! DID THOSE CFS GET THE MONEY!?!

I expect to be told I have no life, this is fine Smile

Apologies for the caps lock, I am just VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE THREADS Grin

It has now become a regular occurrence for DH to mention something that he's read online, and for me to respond with "That was on Mumsnet two days ago" Grin

gildashairflick · 06/04/2018 22:13

Army Dad trespassing thread never came to a satisfactory conclusion. Cheeky flexitime fucker and coffee in handbag incident was the same. Glad I have an answer to the tumble drier thief one at least. There was a lady who was wealthy, pregnant, covering for an affair, looking after the affairees son, strange relationship with husband/partner. Lobster something or other username. I need to search for phantom pooing loft hatch thread and mark as watch!

Hakelively

Thank you for commenting! Please tell us your DH isn't actually going to give the couple any money?

Also, another hilarious thread today bit the dust, for anyone who read this one:

I read that, what happened?

Bubbles121 · 06/04/2018 22:35

Gildashairflick - it's gone pretty quiet on the phantom poo, WiFi stealing loft dweller story - but there's an awful lot of posts on it linking to a twitter story about some guy in New York who claimed he was being haunted by a small boy who was trying to kill him. Ive read all the tweets against my better judgement and despite being 90% sure he made it up I've made DF promise never to spend one more night away from home just in case ...

willynillypie · 06/04/2018 22:47

Itscurtainsforyou

Are you asking about the crazy wig cutting fiasco? Apparently removed for "troll hunting". Had to be a fake though, surely...there were some hilarious comments on there though about the speed at which the drama was unfolding/OP was managing to update

I had a thread which I asked to be deleted as it made the papers. I hadn't realised that newspapers could print it without permission, so thought as long as the person I was posting about wasnt on mumsnet they wouldn't know about it - a bit different when they would easily recognise the story in a newspaper!

I asked for the thread to be deleted as it gave more details than the article and would have been easily found once anyone had read the article.

Itscurtainsforyou · 06/04/2018 23:17

Thanks Smile

ClaraMumsnet · 06/04/2018 23:19

Ahem, please don't make this into a TAAT (or many threads) or else we'll have to zap it...

Woody67 · 07/04/2018 00:06

Why aren't TAAT allowed?

Lookforthestars · 07/04/2018 01:30

Every post in this thread is a post about another thread. Grin

WellThisIsShit · 07/04/2018 03:09

Interesting to find out what happened on a few disappearing threads. So annoying when everything you’ve read and commented on has gone!

Riddo · 07/04/2018 04:21

oldpoundcoins I'm so pleased for you Smile

RhiWrites · 07/04/2018 07:36

@ThinkOfAWittyNameLater

The woman who wanted to bring her husband and child to a hen night did bring them. She nicked the bride’s room for them. There was a massive row.

willynillypie · 07/04/2018 10:13

It will be beyond ironic if this post gets taken down

Gildashair I'm the OP of the flexi-time and coffee in the handbag threads.
I've had no further contact from the ex-colleague's coffee throwing mother.
There have been developments due to the reference request after she left. This is on-going so can't go into detail I'm afraid.

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 07/04/2018 11:29

@RhiWrites good lord! Thanks for the update.

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 07/04/2018 11:29

@Abouttoblow glad the mother has left you alone at least.

Lookforthestars · 07/04/2018 12:54

@Abouttoblow glad she's backed off!

TeamRick · 07/04/2018 12:54

The update on Rumpled has made my day! Massive grin in my face! Brilliant!

Threefaries · 07/04/2018 22:24

There was a recent post where someone in rented accommodation went away for a few nights. When they returned there were a few subtle signs that someone had been in the house. They mentioned it to the LL who was a bit offhand. Was it ever revealed who the intruder was?

StephiD3 · 07/04/2018 22:47

Shock genuwine was a troll.

Bloody hell.

Hate it when threads get pulled, it’s like getting to the end of a book & the last page being ripped out Sad

One I remember was the woman who fancied her delivery man....

stayanotherday · 09/04/2018 21:53

I also miss the thread about the young lady who moved to the country to be with a partner who controlled her and spent her money. I hope she's okay as she sounded vulnerable.

The thread about the lady who's husband had a locked shed or room that she wasn't allowed access.

The lady who's husband left a note to say he'd left her to meet a lady he'd been chatting to online in another country.

The young girl who lived in a very rural area with her brother and couldn't find work but was going to cycle? to the nearest town to sign on and try and start from there. I hope she did well.

MaitlandGirl · 10/04/2018 11:31

Does anyone know how the poster who had sepsis that had her story in The Mirror is getting on?

mikeyssister · 10/04/2018 12:26

So glad to hear Hooray wasn't a troll but sorry to hear thesituation for her got worse. Some neighbours are mental.
