I walked into m&s this afternoon with my children in tow, I got what I needed and was walking past the lingerie and thought I'd grab a pack of nultipack cotton bikini knickers.
i obviously hadn't paid attention as when I got home I realised I'd picked up full briefs instead of bikins.
They are massive and yet i don't want to return them as they look so bloody comfy, would I be unreasonable to keep them and wear them?
DH would look at me say what the actual f are you wearing however he is a little too fond of his loose greying boxers that he keeps wearing so often so he can't talk.

I like the Sloggi maxi but they seem to dig in at the top of my thighs. Even when I was a size 8 they did this so it isn’t just chub, although I don’t have skinny thighs, so maybe it is my shape ? I really want them, so smooth and simple. Marks and Spencer’s do a stretchy smooth big knicker but annoyingly it has a printed label that is really scratchy after a few washes, and brings me up in hives on the small of my back, so I can’t wear them. A normal label could have been cut out.

Branleuse · 26/03/2018 16:48

@SirVixofVixHall I dont get on with normal sloggis, but def try the double comfort shorts. Theyre like uber comfortable mens trunk style boxers, but fitted for women. They have a few quid off on amazon at the moment too. You wont regret it

KittenBeast · 26/03/2018 16:55

Not long back I was running out of knckers that weren't worn to death, so I asked my OH to pick me up a multi-pack from Asda, they come up to my tits. We did laugh.

SirVixofVixHall · 26/03/2018 18:28

Branleuse I do have a pair of those, legs fine but i’m Not mad on the bulky elastic.

RoderickRules · 26/03/2018 18:36

@LellyMcKelly I was going to say the same. None of the men I have known wear fragile lacy wisps cut round their nethers.

Neither do I.

Commando or sturdy here.

Frankiewears · 27/03/2018 01:14

Apple catchers only here. Not directoires - now those were BIG.

sv650 · 27/03/2018 07:27

From my point of view being a man, whatever type of knickers she's wearing is of no impotence. There gonna come off anyway....
I like to see what's on offer when the knicker are off. As perhaps some women do when us guys drop our pants?

impotence

Freudian slip? Grin

Frilly knickers, French knickers, sexy knickers etc, a must if your gonna show them off in public. Like at a certain naturist club in Kent on party nights. Including some men! Glitterball

laddylonglocks · 27/03/2018 11:38

"Life is too short to be pulling scratchy lace out of your crack"

Yes a million times. Men don't have to put up with this shit!

AlexisColbysFANCYfrock · 27/03/2018 12:38

I swapped thongs (Dear God, thongs?!) for full briefs in my 20s after struggling to give up the comfort factor after my first pregnancy.
I've never looked back.

Big, black belly warmers all the way now.

paap1975 · 27/03/2018 13:01

DP likes nice underwear, but twice recently has surprised me by steering me towards "comfy" underwear with no lace, seams in odd places, etc. He must be fed up with hearing me complain about things digging in.

I have to tell you about my latest purchase though. They are these seamless Chantelle one size fits all and they are amazing: www.houseoffraser.co.uk/women/chantelle-soft-stretch-high-waisted-brief/d733386.pd#254558764

Ebeneser · 27/03/2018 15:11

I love my granny knickers!

I have never cared to wear "sexy" or "matching" underwear though.

BigbreastsBiggerbeard · 27/03/2018 15:14

Right, well my Sloggi Double Comfort Short arrived. If you like a big gusset, this is the pant for you Grin. Big waistband that will only sit on the waist. It's unflattering in the extreme on me, but yes, comfortable.

Marks and Sparx next Smile It's a big pant mission now. My life has a purpose. And it's pants.

WatchoutDSisdriving · 27/03/2018 18:56

Bigbreasts You should try the bamboo ones, I am most sold on them. They are softer when they have been washed too Smile

debbieb1980 · 27/03/2018 19:01

I think wear whatever you feel comfortable in not what is the most fashioanable, I have probably more pairs of granny knickers than anything else.

Have to be honest I found myself trying to kind of hide them on the washing line this morning, they're huge Blush.
Nothing's going to stop me wearing them though, can't believe j hadn't discovered them sooner.

Twoo · 27/03/2018 22:06

There is nothing finer than a nice Big Pant to cosset your under carriage in Grin

VerbenaGirl · 28/03/2018 08:21

I love big knickers! It's like the pant equivalent of getting into a cosy bed after a long hard day. I'll never go back!!

Verbena37 · 28/03/2018 10:27

Comfy pants are the way to go.
I’m the opposite to the lady on page 1 who said we all have one grey bra and pair of big pants....I don’t....I have a few nice pairs of sexy knickers and the rest are all comfy pants!

I used to feel mismatched and out of sync before kids if my bra and knickers didn’t match but now, anything goes...although they’re still pretty enough to be seen if I was rushed into hospital etc.

Verbena37 · 28/03/2018 10:28

Oh hi Verbenagirl....I thought for a mo I had posted twice!
Never seen your name before...great name!

CrazyDogLady87 · 28/03/2018 10:39

HI, I'm a newbie, so thought would join in on a light-hearted post to find my feet,

I'm 30 had a hysterectomy at 27 and I love big pants, I often wear hubs boxers for comfort too, even before my operation i was always comfort first! I own many sexy pants but i'm shorts style or big pants, for daily wear, no point in wearing sexy knickers all the time, then the novelty and well sex appeal of them wears off haha!

I bought some knickers for DD last weekend, but accidentally picked up age 14-15 rather than 11-12.
I put them in her drawer anyway, then noticed she was wearing them. I asked her how they were. "Great. Nice and big and comfy" she said.

I must have passed on the big knicker appreciation gene!
